In a report by ThinkProgress , Trump appears to speak as openly as he did when running for office. One of many topics was Roger Ailes, who had been accused of sexual harassment by present and previous female employees.
Trump, as candid as one could guess, had this to say in regards to the incident.
“Well, I don’t want to comment. But he’s been a friend of mine for a long time. And I can tell you that some of the women that are complaining, I know how much he’s helped them. And even recently, and when they write books that are fairly recently released, and they say wonderful things about him.”
Trump continued to speak on his association with Ailes, focusing on the accusations from those who worked with Ailes and claimed that he had been sexually harassing them.
“And now all of a sudden they’re saying these horrible things about him. It’s very sad. Because he’s a very good person. I’ve always found him to be just a very, very good person. And, by the way, a very, very talented person. Look what he’s done. So I feel very badly. But a lot of people are thinking he’s going to run my campaign.”
While the comment about Ailes running Trump’s campaign might have come from the Trump Tower owner himself, campaign manager Paul Manafort spoke differently.
“I have no idea where that came from,” he remarked.
Still, Manafort praised Ailes and his ability to understand the American people.

Chuck Todd, the host of Meet The Press , went on to press Donald Trump about his proposal to ban all Muslims from coming into the United States. Trump has been a major source of controversy, often associated with racism and hateful treatment toward Muslims. Trump’s claim of focus on terrorism has been his drive, but he weighed in on Todd’s notion that the proposal might have been offset and seen as a “rollback.”
“I actually don’t think it’s a rollback,” Trump said in response to Todd’s inquiry. “In fact, you could say it’s an expansion. I’m looking now at territory. People were so upset when I used the word Muslim. Oh, you can’t use the word Muslim. Remember this. And I’m okay with that, because I’m talking territory instead of Muslim.”
Alongside such controversy, Donald Trump also appeared to have had much to say in regards to limiting immigration, as well. In a report by the New York Times , it is reported that the GOP nominee had plans to vet the countries or territories that had been compromised by terrorism. This would include Germany and France. Trump expressed to host Chuck Todd that he would be unveiling the list of places that would be subject to “extreme vetting.”
What could this mean for future immigration? If Donald Trump is successful in his campaign, then it could be taking quite a turn. Rumors surround Donald Trump’s association to President Vladimir Putin. It was asked if Donald Trump’s campaign had ties to Putin, though such a notion was quickly denied by Trump’s campaign manager.
“There is no basis to it,” Manafort stated, calling it “absurd.”
