As this year’s political race rages on in its absurdity, Marvel Comics has thrown in its two cents creating a supervillain based on both Donald Trump and the legendary villain M.O.D.O.K. in the Spider-Gwen Annual #1 . In the issue, M.O.D.O.K. (Mental Organism Designed Only for Killing) has become M.O.D.A.A.K. (Mental Organism Designed as America’s King).
According to USA Today , M.O.D.O.K. “was the result, according to Marvel, of a technician being bio-engineered to be a ‘living computer. …Tarleton was subjected to hideous experiments, mutating his body into a massive-headed being possessing superhuman intelligence and extraordinary psionic powers, and the process drove him mad.’ He turned on his bosses, killing them and calling himself ‘Scientist Supreme.’”
In the comic, the Trump-alike says, “If America will not act … M.O.D.A.A.K. must!”

Gwen Stacey (aka Peter Parker’s girlfriend) is the one who was bitten by the nasty radioactive spider instead of Peter, making her “Spider-Gwen” in this alternate universe story. M.O.D.A.A.K. is a character with a huge head and tiny little body. Spider-Gwen Annual #1 was released this week by Jason Latour, Jim Campbell, and Chris Visions.
According to Breitbart , this isn’t the first time that Marvel Comics has poked fun of Donald Trump. In May of this year in Issue No. 1 of Steve Rogers: Captain America , the arch villain and Nazi leader, Red Skull, uttered this anti-immigration speech.
“I have just come from Europe–my homeland, in fact and do you know what I saw there? It was an invading army. These so-called ‘refugees’ – millions of them – marching across the continent, bringing their fanatical beliefs and their crime with them. They attack our women, and bomb our cities. And how do our leaders respond? Do they push them back and enforce the borders, as is our sovereign duty? Of course not. They say, ‘Here, take our food. Take our shelter. Take our way of life, and then take our lives.’ Despicable.”
Nick Spencer is the author of the Captain America story and has admitted to pushing the anti-Donald Trump storyline.
Comedian Michael Ian Black has also written his own parody of Donald Trump with his A Child’s First Book of Trump which features a poem about the red-haired “beasty:” “The beasty is called an American Trump. Its skin is bright orange, its figure is plump; Its fur so complex, you might get enveloped. Its hands are, sadly, underdeveloped. Now, where does it live? On flat-screen TVs! It rushes toward every camera it sees. It thrives in the most contentious conditions and excretes the most appalling emissions.”
“Yes, Trumps are wild and unpredictable creatures, but with a little knowledge I hope everybody can learn to appreciate the Trump for the misunderstood, absurd creature it is,” says Black.
There has been no official word from his camp about the two books, but Donald Trump has been known to make fun of himself. Last year while making an appearance on the Jimmy Kimmel Live show, Kimmel told Trump that he had “ghost-written” a new book for Donald called, Winners Aren’t Losers . Kimmel then proceeded to read the book to Trump and the audience.
“Winners aren’t losers. They’re winners — like me! A loser’s a loser. Which one will you be?” the book begins.
Donald Trump has also shown up in numerous cameo roles in a variety of movies and TV shows over the years. He played rich kid Waldo’s father in 1994’s The Little Rascals and he also has appeared briefly in Zoolander and Home Alone 2 . Donald Trump has also made appearances on a number of TV series including Saturday Night Live, Monk, Sex and the City, Sabrina the Teenage Witch, The Nanny, and The Jeffersons . His most notable appearance may have been in 2006 when he sang the theme song from Green Acres with Megan Mullally at that year’s Emmy Awards show.
