Renee Alway remains in jail following a police standoff in Palm Springs, California. The former America’s Next Top Model finalist was arrested on June 28 following a standoff with Palm Springs and Cathedral City police SWAT teams.

Authorities responded to the 600 block of Violeta Drive following reports of a “suspicious female” at the residence. Neighbors alerted police as the homeowners were out of the country.

As reported by MyDesert.com , police were under the impression that an armed gunman was barricaded inside the home, leading to a six-hour standoff.

Police eventually entered the home through an open door. However, nobody was found inside the home. Renee Alway, who was armed, was eventually located inside the garage.

As reported by IBT , Alway was arrested and is currently being held at the Larry D. Smith Correctional Facility in Banning, California. Her bond had been set at $150,000.

Alway plead not-guilty to a total of five felony counts including burglary, fraud, and possession of narcotics. She was appointed a public defender and remains incarcerated.

This is the third arrest for Alway in the last three months. On April 12, the aspiring model was arrested and charged with three felony offenses. She pleaded not guilty to grand theft over $400, grand theft with a firearm specification, and interfering with a witness.

On April 24, she was arrested and charged with two felonies, including drug possession and receiving stolen property. She was also charged with numerous misdemeanor charges, which included resisting arrest. She pleaded not guilty and was released on bail.

As the current crimes were committed while she was on bail, she has been further charged for committing a felony while on bail.

Renee Alway competed in Cycle 8 of America’s Next Top Model show. She made it to the finals and finished in third place. The competition show, created by Tyra Banks, is currently in Cycle 20.
