Speaking on The Talk this past Tuesday, Sharon Osbourne said she was “devastated” by Ozzy Osbourne’s drug relapse. The rocker’s wife then declared that they were not getting a divorce and were working through Ozzy’s troubles.
Osbourne opened up about the situation but kept intimate details of the relapse private:
“Everybody knows he’s been struggling with this [substance abuse] his entire life and I never knew that he was using prescription drugs. I knew he was drinking occasionally, but I didn’t realize to the extent. It’s our business — we’re dealing with it; we’re not getting divorced.
“However, am I happy? No. Am I upset? Yes I am — I’m devastated right now.”
Sharon was forced to address Osbourne’s relapse after rumors began swirling last week. Several British media agencies reported that the couple were living apart and preparing for a divorce.
After the rumors began, Ozzy Osbourne took to Facebook on April 16 to deny the divorce rumors and to apologize to his family for his drug use. Ozzy at the time said he had been sober for 44 days.
While Osbourne is “devastated” by her husband’s actions, she revealed on The Talk:
“Everything that was printed in the tabloids has been distorted. There’s always a little seed of truth to everything that gets reported, but then it gets very distorted. The only thing that’s true was the Facebook posting that my husband did on his Facebook where he said he’s been using alcohol and prescription drugs for the last year and a half … and that he has been in a very dark place. That’s true. It’s very true.”
Ozzy Osbourne is in the midst of a tour and Sharon Osbourne was recently seen hovering around a moving van. Unfortunately, those facts were not discussed on the women’s centric talk show.
This is nothing new for Sharon and her brood. While Osbourne may be devastated, she did note “we’ve dealt with worse.”
As we reported on Sunday, at one point Ozzy thought Sharon was trying to kill him .
