Is Adam Levine parting ways with the rest of Maroon 5? According to a representative for the singer, recent rumors about a rift are completely false.

Many fans were recently left wondering about the fate of their favorite band. Despite reports that Levine and the band are having some difficulties behind-the-scenes, apparently these were just tall tales designed to sell magazines at supermarkets.

Gossip Gop reports that the rumors about Adam Levine quitting Maroon 5 originated with Star magazine. A so-called “spy” for the publication said band members were getting a little tired of the frontman’s attitude.

According to this anonymous insider, the other members of Maroon 5 believe Adam Levine is letting all of the fame go to his head. The magazine reported that the singer was thinking about leaving the group altogether.

“The band was set to finish their next record and tour but had to rework everything around Adam’s schedule filming ‘The Voice,’” the Star spy added.

As with most celebrity-related rumors started by anonymous sources and industry insiders, none of these reports turned out to be true. According to Reality TV Magazine , a representative for Adam Levine and Maroon 5 said the Star report was essentially full of hot air.

There is currently no reason to curse the singer’s name for breaking up the band. For the moment, Maroon 5 is apparently safe and sound.

In other Adam Levine news, Blake Shelton recently joked about the singer’s health-conscious lifestyle. According to the country music star, Levine doesn’t drink nearly as much alcohol as he probably should.

“I get frustrated with Adam because, to me, rock stars are supposed to be drunk all the time. But he’s very healthy. He takes care of himself. And it drives me crazy, because I want him to be more like me. Drunk all the time,” Shelton joked.
