‘Real Housewives Of New Jersey’ Star Teresa Giudice Says Jacqueline Laurita Ratted Her Out To Feds

If anyone had doubts that Real Housewives of New Jersey would be exciting this year, the return of Teresa Giudice from prison should have ended those doubts. The RHONJ Season 7 reunion special showed that Giudice is not only back, but she is back with a vengeance. Forbes reported that Teresa came out on the episode with all guns blazing and accused fellow RHONJ star Jacqueline Laurita of ratting her out to the feds.

Teresa Giudice and her husband Joe were charged with multiple crimes in 2013, including conspiracy to commit wire fraud, mail fraud, and bank fraud by lying on their loan applications and on their bankruptcy. The RHONJ couple entered guilty pleas to 41 counts of fraud.

Because the RHONJ stars have children, the judge allowed them to serve their sentences separately so one parent could remain with the children. Teresa Giudice was sentenced to 15 months in prison and spent almost a year in there. Teresa got out last December, after serving a little over 11 months, and returned to the cast of RHONJ .

Joe Giudice was sentenced to 41 months in prison. Joe entered prison in March to start serving his sentence. Teresa Giudice told Bravo that Joe had lost 30 pounds since the RHONJ star entered prison and Joe said that he feels that it might help him health-wise to be in prison.

There is still a chance that Joe Giudice could possibly face deportation back to Italy when he is released because he is not an American citizen. However, Joe has lived in America since he was 1 year old and just never acquired his citizenship. In an interview with People , Giudice said that he isn’t worried about the deportation and he and Teresa will deal with that when he gets out of prison.

However, while Joe is in prison, Teresa Giudice is back on RHONJ and Teresa is looking for revenge against those that she feels betrayed her, which includes Jacqueline Laurita and former RHONJ star Caroline Manzo.

“I plead guilty and you set me up. You set me up. In my gut, it was either you, you and Caroline, set me up. You guys were behind everything, calling the government, everything.”

Jacqueline Laurita denied having anything to do with it, but she did hint that she has an idea of who might have reported Teresa Giudice to the feds and it had nothing to do with the RHONJ . According to Jacqueline, Joe had a former partner that he owed money to. She said that this former partner threatened to turn him over to the feds if Giudice didn’t pay him back and that is what she thinks happened instead of some kind of RHONJ plot against Teresa.

Forbes writer Kelly Phillips Erb said that she once spoke to a man who was willing to turn himself in for not paying taxes in order to get his wife in trouble as well since she was seeking a divorce. Erb said that “revenge tax” is more popular than people might think and involves people calling the IRS to get someone in trouble out of a sense of revenge. This is what might have happened to Teresa Giudice.

Interestingly, the IRS offers whistleblower money for this as well, so whether it was a former business partner of Joe Giudice or someone like RHONJ star Jacqueline Laurita being vindictive against Teresa Giudice, there is also a financial incentive there as well.

The Real Housewives of New Jersey Season 7 reunion was a huge moment for Teresa Giudice as she looked for confirmation of her suspicions about fellow RHONJ stars. It is clear that no one will be safe from this RHONJ cast member as Teresa Giudice sets out to gain revenge for all perceived slights.
