The Walking Dead’s Steven Yeun spent some time helping out his brother before the premiere of Season 3 Part 2. Although Glenn and Maggie (Lauren Cohan) had just barely escaped with their lives the last time we saw them, Yeun appears quite happy and healthy off-screen.

Yeun was spotted earlier this week hanging out on Wilshire Boulevard near the Los Angeles County Museum of Art. The affable actor was handing out “gourmet street food” from the Bun Truck, according to the Los Angeles Times . Steven Yeun’s brother Brian co- owns the truck which sells Korean-Mediterranean fusion dishes.

Yeun chatted with visitors musing over the menu offerings, there wasn’t a zombie in site. The Walking Dead actor highly recommended the spicy pig sandwich with a side of duck fries. Outgoing showrunner Glen Mazzara recently had this to say about Yeun’s charater, Glenn Rhee:

“Steven is the heart of the show. Everybody loves that character. Everybody’s rooting for that character. He may be tortured and sensitive, but he’s always a hero.”

At the end of the first part of The Walking Dead Season 3, Glenn and Maggie were being held by the egomaniac Governor inside Woodbury. Maggie was sexually by the town leader before Rick, Daryl, and the rest of the gang came to the rescue.

Yeun had this to say about Season 3 Part 2:

“It’s a heavy season for everyone. But for Glenn, I love that they’re continuing to grow a character. They’re continuing to have him complete his arc, to keep that trajectory. He starts being self-aware and realizing that it’s not just about living for yourself. It’s also about living for the people you love and when you love somebody – that really opens you up.”

Steven Yeun, 29, is the son of South Korean immigrants, IMDb notes. His father moved the family from Seoul to Michigan so his sons could have more opportunities. As a youth, The Walking Dead star sang in his church and played guitar. He initially considered a medical career. During his freshman year at Kalamazoo College, he joined an imporv group and caught the acting bug.
