Layered drinks are a popular choice for the Fourth of July and other patriotic celebrations. When making layered drinks, the key is to pour each layer slowly, so they do not blend. The Red, White and Blue Pina Colada is a delicious, layered drink that uses strawberries for the red, coconut for the white and blue Curacao for the blue. These drinks look great served in Mason jars as well.

A similar drink is Fireworks Pina Colada. This drink uses blue Curacao, white rum, coconut cream and strawberries. What’s interesting about this drink is that the blue Curacao, pineapple, and coconut are blended together and then the white layer of the drink is actually formed by adding whipped cream to the drink. You can even top it with a cherry for more of the red, white and blue look that makes it a perfect alcoholic drink to serve on the Fourth of July.

This recipe for Red, White and Blue Sangria is similar to some of the other red, white and blue drinks but has a twist. The creator of the recipe had the ingenious idea of using Granny Smith apples for the white portion of the drink and she used a star cookie cutter to cut out star shapes from the apples. This sangria also features raspberries as well as strawberries for the red and blueberries for the blue. The presentation is beautiful and the drink is easy to make. There’s no doubt that Red, White and Blue Sangria is the perfect complement to every Fourth of July get-together.
