Jill Duggar may be feeling like she is out of the loop. Not only is she spending most of her time doing missionary work in El Salvador, but also her younger sister is now leading in terms of baby counts. With Jessa Duggar getting pregnant again and Jinger Duggar getting engaged to Jeremy Vuolo, will there be any public attention left on Jill and her husband Derick?
Just a few days ago, Jessa and her husband Ben Seewald announced on their family blog that she is expecting a second baby.
“We are overjoyed to announce that Spurgeon has a new title in life as “big brother”,” she wrote. “We are so thankful that God is adding to our family. 2017 is shaping up to be a wonderful year already and we know Spurgeon will do a great job in his new role. Having Spurgeon has been such a wonderful blessing and we cannot wait to see the face of this sweet new baby (or babies!).”
Jill tried to steal a bit of the spotlight by posting a video from her point of view on Instagram.
Jessa, unlike her older sister, has had a very normal marriage in the United States. Not only has she been able to secure more Instagram followers with her regular posts, but she also has had more time on her hands to make babies. She has been posting about her baby Spurgeon very often, showing videos, pictures, and celebrating his month birthdays without fail.
On the other hand, Jill Duggar has not been able to be as regular in her posts due to the fact that she is doing missions work in a much poorer country. Aside from the fact that she does not have a steady internet connection, Jill and Derick also has been living under the fear that they might not live to see another day .
“It’s risky here — we stand out as Americans, so definitely we’re higher risk,” Jill said according to Us Magazine . “You have to talk about things that probably a lot of couples wouldn’t talk about back in the States.”
“We’ve been married almost two years — we have a little baby,” she continued. “If we were back in the States, we wouldn’t be talking about, ‘Now if you die, what am I supposed to do from there? If you don’t come home after you are supposed to [at] this hour, then what do I do?’ It’s hard to talk about those things, but it’s also good for us to [know] like, if something happened, what I’m supposed to do.”
On the other hand, Derick Dillard, who has spearheaded this work in Central America, has been keeping a much more positive outlook on their time spent away from home and family.
“I do love my life here,” he said. “I think there’s not another place in the world I’d rather be right now, but there’s obviously going to be times when I’m going to miss my life in America.”
They certainly do miss their life in the US. They missed the moment that Jinger Duggar announced her engagement to Jeremy Vuolo. While Jill and Jessa: Counting On is a TV show theoretically based on Jill and Jessa’s lives in their budding families, it looks like Jinger might take over Jill’s portion of the spotlight in the reality show very soon.
Jinger Duggar and Jeremy Vuolo have been revealing all sorts of cuteness on the show. The fact that she does not keep an Instagram account means that these little tidbits she shares on camera is all the Duggar family fans have to know about her.
“If it wasn’t for Jeremy I wouldn’t go to the gym at all, I’d just sit at home eating chocolate,” she said in one of the shows according to Daily Mail .
