Prince is set to tour the West Coast of America beginning next month.

The 28-date tour will cover 10 cities, with the diminutive star playing multiple nights in each. The announcement came from the artist’s female backing band 3rdEyeGirl in an interview with the fan site Dr. Funkenberry.

Covering Vancouver, San Francisco, Las Vegas, Seattle, San Diego, Phoenix, and Anaheim, Prince will also play four dates at the Montreaux Jazz Festival in Switzerland and one date in Stockholm, Sweden and Skanderborg, Denmark.

Last Sunday, Prince performed at Austin, Texas’s music festival South by Southwest backed by a 22-piece band, an elusive appearance the Los Angeles Times called “a party to end all parties.”

Speculation that the Purple Rain singer would tour has been percolating for a while following the release of new music on his website while he teased those releases on newly created Twitter and YouTube accounts.

In what’s turning out to be a bumper year for Prince fans, the Grammy award winning performer has also been selected to receive this year’s Billboard Icon Award. It will be presented to the artist by Alicia Keys at a ceremony in Las Vegas on May 19.

Prince’s tour dates are:

April 15/16 – Vancouver, BC April 18/19 – Seattle, WA April 23/24 – San Francisco, DNA Lounge April 26/27 – Las Vegas, NV April 30/May 1 – Phoenix, AZ May 3/4 – San Diego, CA May 7/8 – Anaheim, CA July 13/14/15 – Montreux, CH August 4 – Stockholm, SE August 7 – Skanderborg, DK
