Justice League has only been filming for about a month now, and Warner Bros. is going to do everything imaginable to keep as much under wraps as they can. Well, there has already been something that has leaked out and it’s a pretty big scene. A description of a clip from Justice League where Barry Allen meets Bruce Wayne has been revealed for all to read, and it’s a pretty cool way for the two to become acquainted.
As the team comes together, they will have to get used to working with the other superheroes of the world and it’s going to be different. Batman and Wonder Woman already know one another, but Aquaman, The Flash, and Cyborg still need to become acquainted with those they don’t know yet.
Cinema Blendhas revealed a description of the footagethat some reporters were recently shown of Justice League, and it’s pretty awesome. On the London set, those journalists were allowed to see the scene where two Justice League members meet for the very first time.
Please note that this is a finished scene at this time, but it’s one that could end up being altered or edited along the way. Justice League isn’t even going to be released for 16 more months, and anything may change, but this seems pretty perfect as it is.
“Barry is returning home to his apartment. He has chains and a padlock on his front door, suggesting it’s in a bad neighborhood. As he comes in, he flips a switch on an electrical breaker, powering up the apartment’s lights, as well as a bank of monitors that seem to be tuned into various news and entertainment programs. As the lights come on around the apartment, we see that Bruce Wayne has been sitting in a chair, waiting for Barry to return home.
“‘Barry Allen? Bruce Wayne,’ Ben Affleck purrs.
“Barry seems stunned, and wonders how Bruce — who he clearly doesn’t know yet — can justify breaking into a stranger’s home. Bruce doesn’t answer. Instead, he shows Barry a printout form the security footage seen in Lex Luthor’s metahuman video… the scene of Barry stopping a robbery at a convenience store. Barry denies that it’s him in the photograph, but it’s too late, as Bruce has spotted the Flash suit that Barry keeps on a mannequin in the apartment.
“Bruce is admiring the craftsmanship of the suit. He recognizes the fibers, and comments that it’s material NASA uses to protect spaceships from burning up as they re-enter Earth’s atmosphere. Barry, talking quickly, is still trying to deny that he’s any type of superhero. He tells Bruce that he does competitive dance. Intense competitive dance. It’s a good laugh line.
“Finally, fed up with Barry Allen’s lines of misdirection, Bruce Wayne reaches behind his back and throws a Batarang as hard as he can at Barry’s head. At this moment, everything slows down… except for Barry. He’s able to step out of the path of the sharp Batarang (we can still see Bruce, going though his throwing motion in super slow motion as Barry moves at normal speed), and he reaches out and plucks the weapon out of the air with his index finger and thumb.
“At this point, everything returns to normal speed. Barry spins to look at Bruce. ‘You’re Batman?’
“Bruce tells Barry that he’s building a team, but before Wayne can finish his proper pitch, the speedster blurts, ‘I’m in!’ When Wayne wonders why the Flash is so eager to commit, Barry Allen sheepishly confesses, ‘I need friends.’ He then quips to Batman, ‘Can I keep this?’ And the scene ends.”
As you can see, that’s a pretty awesome introduction between the two and it works out very well. Bruce shows the older and more mature side of Batman as he has studied his new teammate quite thoroughly and is not going into this meeting blind.
Ezra Miller really appears to portray Barry Allen/The Flash in a great manner and he could dispel all of the doubts people have tossed his way because they wanted Grant Gustin in the role. His playfulness and youth work well for what many know in The Flash and he’s going to fit in well with the rest of the members of the Justice League.
It’s going to be very interesting to see how Cyborg and Aquaman end up being introduced to the others on the team.
This is getting serious and things are getting real as far as the Justice Leaguegoes, and fans may soon put aside their doubts that developed with Batman V Superman: Dawn of Justice.
Justice League will star a number of other big names alongside Miller and Affleck, as the cast is absolutely huge. Viewers will also be able to enjoy the talents of Henry Cavill, Jason Mamoa, Gal Gadot, J.K. Simmons, Jeremy Irons, Ray Fisher, and a lot more.
The first part of Justice League won’t be hitting theaters until November 5, 2017, but there is so much anticipation for it already. Barry Allen/ The Flash (Ezra Miller) and Bruce Wayne/Batman ( Ben Affleck ) may have met already, but fans still want to see it and not just read it. That’s going to be just one of many iconic scenes once the film lands on the big screen, and before anyone realizes it, there will be the first trailer for all to witness.
