Former Oasis lead singer, Liam Gallagher, has come out as a surprise advocate for Psy’s monster hit single, “Gangham Style,” even going as far as to call it an “absolute classic.”
Gallagher was taking part in a web chat with his Japanese fans when he was asked what he thought of the South Korean’s song. The Mancunian then stated, “I think it’s an absolute classic … I love it. My kid dances to it every morning and it makes me chuckle and spit out my Corn Flakes. I can’t wait to hear his new tune.”
The rocker was also asked whether he was happy at the success his estranged brother, Noel , has found as a solo artist, to which he responded, “Was I pleased for him? What, for splitting up my f****** band? I’m not pleased for him, no! I hope he’s f***** happy but he doesn’t look it.”
Liam was then asked about the possibility of Oasis reforming, and he stated, “F*** Oasis as far as I’m concerned and f*** Noel Gallagher. The though of going onstage with that f***** idiot and hanging out with his daft mates, the pretend drug addict and his snobs from Sloane Street. F*** that, not interested mate. We’re Beady Eye [Liam’s new band] all the f****** way … I’ve got a new record, I’m buzzing off it.”
Beady Eye are currently in the studio working on their second album, which will be the follow up to 2010’s Different Gear, Still Speeding . What do you think of Liam Gallagher? Would you like to see Oasis back together again?
