‘Anger Management’ Adds Brian Austin Green As Series Regular

Anger Management is getting a little help from a former 90210 heartthrob.

Brian Austin Green previously appeared on the FX sitcom as the boyfriend of Charlie Goodson’s ex-wife. It’s now being reported that the actor is being added as a series regular.

According to The Wrap , the folks behind Anger Management have decided to make Green’s character a regular on the comedy. The website also reports the actor’s addition to the show is the latest attempt to reinvigorate the formula.

Although the series got off to a good start when it debuted in June of 2012, the ratings haven’t remained as strong as the network would like. As a result, producers are attempting to inject some new blood into the series.

Deadline reports that Brian Austin Green originally appeared in the first episode of Anger Management . Since his introduction, the character has also appeared off and on over the course of the series. However, now it appears Green will have a much larger role on the show.

Although Green is probably best known for his work on 90210 — the less said about his rap album, the better — the actor recently appeared on a handful of programs. His credits include Happy Endings , TBS’ The Wedding Band , and Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles .

The series is also contending with the departure of Selma Blair. After getting into a feud with star Charlie Sheen, the actress eventually parted ways with Anger Management . Details about her departure are few and far between.

The Inquisitr previously reported that the search is currently on for a “sexy” new actress to take Blair’s place. Although rumors suggested Mila Kunis was being courted for the role, a recent casting call suggested showrunners are looking for an actress between the ages of 30 and 40 to fill the vacancy.
