The latest Fast and Furious 6 TV spot gives fans exactly what they want.
Although the clip is basically just more of the same, the action has been condensed to fit inside a 30-second television advertisement. The preview manages to cram an array of tanks, airplanes, and car chases into the span of roughly half-a-minute.
The clip also features what is sure to be one of the film’s biggest action set pieces. The heroes combine their talents and their cars to bring down an enormous airplane. It’s an explosive sequence that’s sure to look good on the big screen.
Fast and Furious 6 brings back a number of actors from the previous installments of the popular franchise. Included among the cast are Vin Diesel, Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson, Paul Walker, Jordana Brewster, Tyrese Gibson, and Chris “Ludacris” Bridges.
Also returning for the sequel is Michelle Rodriguez . While many assumed her character perished in a previous installment of the series, her return was teased at the end of Fast Five . A handful of promotional images from the sequel suggest she has a significant role to play in the film.
The film is officially described as follows: “Since Dom and Brian’s Rio heist toppled a kingpin’s empire and left their crew with $100 million, our heroes have scattered across the globe. But their inability to return home and living forever on the lam have left their lives incomplete.
Meanwhile, Hobbs has been tracking an organization of lethally skilled mercenary drivers across 12 countries, whose mastermind is aided by a ruthless second-in-command revealed to be the love Dom thought was dead, Letty.”
Fast and Furious 6 will mark director Justin Lin’s fourth entry in the long-running franchise. The filmmaker previously stepped behind the camera for The Fast and the Furious: Tokyo Drift , Fast & Furious , and Fast Five . Dwayne Johnson previously hinted that the studio is interested in doing another sequel should this one prove popular at the box office.
