LeBron James, Kyrie Irving Makes Powerful Speeches During Cleveland Cavaliers Championship Parade And There’s A Lot Of Cursing

Published on: June 22, 2016 at 10:20 PM

The all-new 2016 NBA Champions are just sharing their honest thoughts with the fans during the Cleveland Cavaliers Championship Parade, but nobody expected LeBron James to be cursing all over.

It might have been the festive ambiance of the event, but James did not hold any censor when he gave his 16-minute speech.

It was a little surprising to hear LeBron James going down and dirty with his speech, considering that he is one of the straight guys in the NBA. According to Sporting News , James has always been politically correct in all of his interviews, even in the sitdowns with major outlets like Samsung, Nike and even Kia.

However, LeBron James felt like this Wednesday is a good day to go all out. After leading the Cleveland Cavaliers to a staggering win with an initial 3-1 deficit and winning the MVP title, LeBron James might have had the right to curse all he wants.

James had a mix of using the F-words and other colorful curse words. Here’s the tally provided by Sporting News :

  • “a**”: 4
  • “s**t”: 4
  • “hell”: 1
  • “m*****f****r”: 1
  • “f**k”: 1

There might be children and parents attending, but his 13 curses did not affect the fans as much. They even cheered for him.

However, aside from his out-of-the-box speech, LeBron James made sure to highlight his teammates who had performed well during the finals. LeBron James said that he was just one man with a determination to commit to his promise, and that is to go back to Cleveland and bring back the championship.

James said it would not be possible if he did not have his amazing teammates and his strong support network at home. LeBron pointed out the young players in the team did an outstanding work and it was, overall, their team collaboration that brought them to the top.

LeBron James actually highlighted Kyrie Irving during his speech. He pointed out that when he went back, Irving was one of his biggest doubters.

“He thought I was blowing up his a—when I said he could be the best point guard in our league and also be an MVP in our league. And I saw that every single one of y’all saw the finals and you saw what this guy is capable of doing.”

LeBron James started the cursing game again after he mentioned that Kyrie Irving is only 24-years-old.

He also pointed out JR Smith. James clarified that whatever is being put out there in public about Smith not being a team player is false. James added that he did not believe those “lies” saying a team could not win if they had JR Smith in it.

Coming from the New York Knicks, JR Smith, according to James, was just a throw in for them. So, when the Cavaliers GM went to James to tell him about the news, he said, “I would love to have JR Smith. I know JR Smith and I know what he’s capable of doing.”

“He showed only that he is a h— of a three-point shooter, he’s a h— of a defensive player as well. Two-way player. Thank you JR Smith!”

LeBron James gave all the praise to his teammates which obviously paid off. The players seemed a little emotional and grateful that they have been a part of LeBron James’ success.

James added that he was thankful for Deandre Jordan because if he had not decided to leave the Clippers, they would not even have JR Smith.

LeBron James said that his team has been an essential part of their success. He said he knew that he had guys who got his back and that he trust them.
