NBA Finals: Stephen Curry Pushed Out of Golden State vs Cavaliers Game 6, What’s Next for Game 7?

It was a devastating night for the Golden Warriors, one topped off with even their star player Stephen Curry being ejected from the game.

The NBA Finals’ Game 6 proved a turnaround for the Cleveland Cavaliers. By the fourth quarter, they were already ahead by double digits in the game. However, as the Golden State Warriors rally towards getting their lead back, they were faced with multiple fouls.

Stephen Curry was going for a simple layup, but LeBron James came following through and blocking Curry’s shot. The morale downturn did not end there, as LeBron James dissed Curry after the blocked shot.

After the encounter, Stephen Curry got two fouls within less than two minutes. He then threw a bit of a tantrum. This is where Stephen Curry lost it. He threw his mouthpiece, which hit a fan, and that was when he got a technical foul from the referee.

Curry’s teammates held onto him to control him. He was then escorted out of the game. Warriors fans were no doubt proud of Curry’s performance of the game and sad about the fact that he got kicked out because of the fouls. Some fans even defended their star champ and said that the final two fouls were just not acceptable.

According to SBNation, Stephen Curry’s foul troubles were “bizarre” and greatly affected the gameplay of the Warriors tonight.

“For yet another game, Curry found himself in foul trouble early. He stayed in the game late in the second half when he recorded his third foul, but there was times where he had to concede layups as to avoid picking up another and others where he must have scared the hell out of his coaches by gambling in the passing lanes. Curry averaged just over two fouls per game in the regular season, a low number given the minutes he played, so this truly is a bizarre turn for the first-ever unanimous MVP. There’s really no rhyme or reason for Curry’s struggles — he just can’t stop fouling people, finally fouling out late in the frame.”

Amidst the devastating loss, the team is still optimistic they could come back stronger. On Twitter, the team asked for #DubNation to attend their final game.

As the game concluded, Stephen Curry’s wife Ayesha has been on Twitter as well. She posted a tweet saying, “I’ve lost all respect sorry this is absolutely rigged for money… Or ratings in not sure which. I won’t be silent. Just saw it live sry. [sic]”

After the then-deleted tweet was posted, Ayesha was bashed by multiple Cavaliers fans. At the same time, Ayesha Curry was telling her fans via Twitter that they were experiencing discrimination because of the game.

Ayesha Curry said that the whole team’s families were stranded in busses minutes before the game started because “they won’t let us in.” She also said that her cousin was not permitted to go inside a casino just because “he was wearing a Warriors gear.”

Ayesha Curry also shared that her father had just been racially profiled.

For the many events that happened to Ayesha Curry, she noted that she accepts the Warriors’ loss. However, she could not tolerate the attacks on her family.
