The primary season is winding down and Hillary Clinton has been declared the presumptive Democratic nominee, but there may still be a way for Bernie Sanders to become president and continue his political revolution.
The likely Green Party candidate Dr. Jill Stein has invited Bernie Sanders to run on her ticket even if it means her stepping down to the VP slot, reports CNN .
“Know that there’s a plan B here to continue to fight that revolution.”

In what some are calling the only way to beat Donald Trump and others a Hail Mary pass, Stein reached out to Bernie and his supporters Tuesday evening saying there is another option. While untraditional, her “Plan B” would continue Sanders’ political revolution and could end with a Bernie presidency.
Calling America’s two-party system an almost insurmountable impediment to change, Stein said the 2016 presidential election was an extraordinary crisis with amazing possibilities, reports TruthDig.
“Continuing the wonderful work that’s been done by the Sanders campaign, I think nobody wants to see that go to the graveyard inside the Democratic Party. We want to keep that alive and keep building it, because this is what people are clamoring for.”

This isn’t the first time Stein has reached out to Sanders; she first wrote the Vermont senator in April when she advanced the idea of the two working together. She said Bernie could easily convince the Green Party to fall in line behind him.
Even if Sanders doesn’t join her on the Green ticket, Stein has vowed to continue Bernie’s political revolution and has reached out to his supporters telling them she’ll continue the fight, reports The Hill .
“We are here in the event that they feel like they don’t have a place to go.”
The likely Green Party nominee supports eliminating student debt, cracking down on Wall Street, and ending U.S. military action overseas.
“If Bernie endorses Hillary, I urge Bernie’s supporters not to throw in the towel.”

Stein also slammed presumptive Democratic nominee Hillary Clinton Tuesday and described her as having a bad record for women and children and noted that she too was a woman and a feminist running for president, according to CNN .
“We need not just someone who is born with a particular gender identity, but someone in the office who supports women.”

As late as last week, Sanders hadn’t ruled out a third-party run for the White House, but for now he appears to be focusing on the Democratic nomination.
“Right now, our goal is to win the Democratic nomination.”
Bernie’s future and that of his supporters was left in limbo Wednesday morning as Hillary Clinton claimed victory in the Democratic nomination process.
Many in the Democratic Party are wondering if there’s room on Hillary’s ticket for a Bernie Sanders vice presidency, but that move is unlikely. Clinton hasn’t ruled a place for Bernie on her ticket, but it’s not at all clear that embracing him would bring over his supporters. Many Bernie fans have vowed to stick to their slogan “Bernie or Bust.”
Calling himself a “real alternative” to Clinton and Trump , Libertarian Party candidate Gary Johnson reached out to Sanders supporters Wednesday, according to UPI .
“For all those Bernie supporters out there, how about taking a look at the Libertarian ticket?”
In a somewhat strange turn of events, even Donald Trump made a play for Bernie supporters Wednesday morning saying his candidacy offered another option to Hillary’s campaign that railroaded Sanders with a system of rigged superdelegates.
What do you think? Should Bernie Sanders make a third-party run for president?
