Selena Gomez kicked off her Revival Tour in Las Vegas last Friday, and her rumored ex-boyfriend Orlando Bloom was there to celebrate with her. The 23-year-old singer looked sexy in her silky dress and Manolo Blahnik high heels. According to Us Weekly , she was in high spirits when she arrived at her after-party – maybe because she knows that the 39-year-old actor was there without his girlfriend Katy Perry.
Sources revealed that the “Hands to Myself” singer had a lot of fun dancing to Rihanna’s latest hit “Work” while sipping on cocktails with her girlfriends. She continued to party even when Justin Bieber’s song “Sorry” was playing in the club.
An eyewitness told People that Gomez went to Bloom’s VIP table, which was located just beside hers. They chatted for about 20 minutes, and after that, the Pirates of the Caribbean actor gave her a kiss on the cheek as she headed back to her pals.
“He was clearly trying not to be recognized at the club when this was happening, as he was trying to keep a low profile under a dark baseball cap,” their insider said.
The rumored romance between Selena Gomez and Orlando Bloom started in 2014 when she was still dating Justin Bieber. They were caught sitting beside each other outside a club in April that same year and the songstress looked distressed, as reported by the Daily Mail .
The Spring Breakers actress and the Lord of the Rings star denied that they were dating, but they’ve been spotted hanging out a couple of times. They were even caught getting cozy at Bloom’s birthday party last January. Gomez’s manager, Aleen Keshishian, shared the adorable photo of the rumored couple with her.
While Selena’s romantically linked to Orlando, Justin was rumored to be having an affair with the Hollywood actor’s wife, Miranda Kerr. The 22-year-old Canadian pop star was pictured together with the supermodel at the Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show in 2012.
The tension between Bloom and Bieber got more intense as they ended up sparring at a club in Ibiza two months after the British heartthrob was seen with the “Good for You” singer. The reason for their fight remains a mystery, but there was speculation that it was about Gomez and Kerr.
According to Hollywood Life , Selena asked Orlando for forgiveness on behalf of Justin’s behavior. The dashing actor advised the songstress to let go of her boyfriend and instead focus on herself. He even shared some of his painful experiences in his failed marriage to her.
“In Orlando’s Buddhist practice, there is a saying about turning poison into medicine and this is what he shared with Selena,” an insider said. “To take something negative and turn it into something positive, and that’s pretty much what Selena has been doing.”
Based on reports, it seems that Bloom is just acting as Gomez’s big brother by trying to protect or teach Bieber a lesson. This means that the actor is still dating Katy Perry, and the two may even take their relationship to the next level – and it is not marriage as most people think.
According to the Mirror , the 31-year-old pop star is thinking about converting to Buddhism just like her boyfriend. Her ex-husband, Russell Brand, was also into Buddhism, but they both never attempted to change their religion. However, this time, Perry is willing to take a risk for her new lover.
“Katy is very open-minded and loves trying new things. Orlando is very into Buddhism and has been encouraging her to practice,” an insider revealed. “At Coachella, they gathered a group of people together and it was clear that Katy had practiced the verse before.”
Despite Orlando Bloom’s love advice for Selena Gomez, it seems that the songstress still has a soft spot for Justin Bieber. She even wrote a new song for him called “Feel Me” and he was the first one to hear it too.
“He likes it, especially since it is about him. It is another chapter in their relationship that convultes things but also makes him want her again,” an insider told Hollywood Life . “It is the never ending back and forth that will be their relationship forever. They just can’t get over each other.”
