Could Miley Cyrus be in danger of losing her upcoming gig as a coach on The Voice before it even begins?

According to a new reports, Miley hasn’t exactly been getting along with the coaches on the current season of The Voice , and the friction between Cyrus and her co-stars is allegedly so bad that Miley could potentially lose her upcoming job as a coach on the next season of the show.

Us Weekly revealed last week that Miley Cyrus has been butting heads with coach Adam Levine while she serves as his key adviser on the show this season. An insider close to the production claimed that the two pop stars find each other “annoying.”

“They both have short attention spans,” an insider claimed, “Adam would get agitated when Miley would interrupt him, and she enjoyed getting under his skin.”

OK! Magazine previously revealed that Adam and Miley’s tension has gotten so bad in recent weeks that those behind-the-scenes of The Voice are supposedly contemplating reconsidering their decision to bring Cyrus back onto the show as a coach next season.

“Executives are now second-guessing their decision to bring Miley Cyrus on full time because she cannot get along with Adam to save her life,” an inside source alleged to OK! , who also revealed that Levine thinks Miley is “extremely loud-mouthed and absolutely annoying.”

“Adam and Miley were non-stop bickering during their last taping together,” the insider added. “Adam nitpicks almost every single thing she says.”

While The Voice has already officially announced that both Cyrus and Alicia Keys will be joining the singing show as coaches on the upcoming 10th season later this year, Celeb Dirty Laundry is speculating that it’s certainly not too late for the show’s executives to pull the plug on Cyrus’s new gig.

“Seeing as how Adam Levine is a veteran on the show and he is throwing a fit, plus the casting is not resonating among fans like they had hoped, there is a very real chance that NBC could fire Miley before the next season of The Voice even kicks off,” the site speculated earlier this week.

Speculation that Miley could see herself not returning to The Voice as previously announced comes after the Wrap claimed that fans of the singing show were left “up in arms” after Miley first appeared on the series last month.

The site revealed at the time that a number of fans took to the social media to blast Cyrus following her debut The Voice appearance, with many claiming that they were planning to boycott the show because of Miley’s involvement.

“Never thought the day would come when I decide not to watch a season of #TheVoice but Miley, @NBC??!! #beyond #disappointed,” Twitter user @sweetaleisha wrote on the 140-character site, while @MissJess_913 tweeted out, “Def not watching the voice next season Miley Cyrus #dead.”

The Voice executives have yet to respond to rumors that Miley’s recent friction with the show’s current coaches is putting her own coaching role in jeopardy, although Cyrus previously confirmed that she would, in fact, be returning last month.

Miley previously confirmed on Twitter that she will be returning to The Voice as a coach in March, where she also shared a snap of herself sitting in one of the iconic revolving chairs.

“It’s true! I am going to be the newest judge on Season 11 of The Voice @NBCTheVoice #thevoice,” Miley told her millions of followers on the social media site on March 26.
