Kandi Burruss and Phaedra Parks used to be best friends, but they are now at odds with one another. Phaedra feels betrayed by Kandi because she decided to store some stuff for her husband, while he is serving his 8 years behind bars. And Kandi feels betrayed by Phaedra because she hasn’t been open and honest about her feelings. Plus, she’s been withdrawn from the rest of the ladies, as she’s been taking care of her children.
According to a new Bravo report, Kandi Burruss is now revealing that she’s done talking about Phaedra. The two tried to work things out at the reunion, but that conversation may have been a little too late. Burruss talked to Bravo about the reunion show, and when asked about the conversation she had with Phaedra about her children and her life without Apollo, Burruss said that she was done talking about her failed friendship.
“I don’t feel anything. I’m tired of being asked about it,” Kandi Burruss reveals, sharing that she’s so tired of talking about the drama with Parks. It sounds like Kandi has moved on from this friendship and she’s tired of talking about the money that tore them apart.
Kandi’s husband, Todd Tucker, had helped Parks with a pregnancy workout video. He had been working on the production, but he had only gotten a portion of the money. He was asking her for the rest of the money, which became a story on this season, as Phaedra wasn’t dishing up the remaining amount. And rather than talk about the drama on the reunion, Kandi Burruss decided to stick up for Kenya Moore instead, when the ladies started attacking her.
“I was sticking up for what’s right. People try to make Kenya wrong in every situation just because they don’t like her. It’s not OK for a man to physically attack a woman, and they can’t make it OK just because it’s Kenya. I’m shocked that they were taking up for him. Looking back at that Miami episode, you can clearly see he called all of us bitches and all kinds of names. He knocked his own aunt out trying to get to Kenya. There is no way they should be supporting that type of aggression towards women,” Kandi Burruss reveals about her decision to focus on Kenya rather than Phaedra.
Burruss doesn’t think it’s fair that the ladies are blaming Kenya for all of their troubles. Maybe she’s tired of Moore always getting the blame and it sounds like she’s ready to fight back. It sounds like viewers won’t get to see much of Phaedra and Kandi’s friendship anymore.
While Kandi is done with the friendship, Phaedra has revealed that she’s tried to talk to Kandi. She reveals that she hasn’t talked to Kandi since the reunion was filmed a few weeks ago. It sounds like they are nowhere near close to working out their issues. And it sounds like Parks isn’t exactly eager to reach out again.
“Well, you know, um, like I said at at the reunion. I’ve tried and I’ve tried. I’ve made every concession that I can and so, right now I just gotta leave it in God’s hands because I mean, I can’t do anything else,” Phaedra has revealed on Watch What Happens Live , adding, “I had asked Todd for the actual footage and I still got it in an actual usable file so, I wanted to just clear it all up. I gave it enough energy; I’m done with it. He’s been paid his total $25,000 dollars. He can go do what he needs to do now.”
