Taylor Swift stunned audiences and attendees at the Grammys on Monday before and during the music industry’s biggest night. Along the way, Swift earned three total awards , including one of the biggest awards of the night, Best Album for 1989, Yahoo! Music reported on Monday.
While talk may center around Taylor’s acceptance speech after the event, the evening was started by Swift and Selena Gomez hitting the Grammys red carpet entrance in amazing outfits . According to USA Today , Swift chose a color-blocked Atelier Versace crop top paired with a high slit skirt. The look revealed Taylor’s long legs and some hot pink shorts. Gomez accompanied Swift wearing a dark, jewel-tone gown by Calvin Klein featuring a neckline that revealed major cleavage.
The Grammys crowd received a treat as Taylor opened the show by singing her newest single, “Out Of The Woods,” in addition to winning her three awards. By winning the Album of the Year Grammy award, Taylor becomes the first female to pull off that feat twice, with her first win in 2009.
Prior to the Grammys telecast, Swift was equally as stunning to the judges as she won the Best Pop Vocal Album and Best Music Video awards. While she was not on stage to accept either award, Swift provided priceless reactions prior to the Grammys’ telecast on national TV.
Selena Gomez, a member of the Swift all-girl squad and her self-proclaimed best friend, was in the dressing room to celebrate with Taylor for the Best Music Video win. The Grammy award was for “Bad Blood,” a video featuring Selena. Taylor and Selena appear overjoyed after learning of the news, sharing a video of their celebration on Twitter.
Taylor also wasn’t available to accept the Best Pop Vocal Album award. Jack Antonoff — the guitarist from the band fun. and a producer on 1989 — jumped on-stage to accept the award in her place. After introducing himself, Jack said that Swift was rehearsing he Grammys opening act. Nevertheless, Antonoff called the “Blank Space” singer to break the news to her.

“She’s gonna freak,” Antonoff said before Swift answered the phone. “Taylor, it’s Jack. I’m not doing a bit. We just won [the Grammy for] Pop Vocal Album.”
“We won!” Taylor screamed over the phone’s loudspeaker. “Selena, we won best pop vocal album.”
After Antonoff explained that he had phone near the microphone, Swift then turned her attention to her competition. “Is James Taylor there?” Swift asked. As off-the-wall as her question was, it was not off-base: James Taylor was in contention for the same award , ABC News noted.
“Can you tell James Taylor I love him,” Swift asked the Grammys audience seconds later.
“I don’t know if he’s here, but…” Jack began.
“Can somebody who knows James Taylor tell him that I love him?” Swift interrupted, causing the Grammys audience to erupt in laughter.
While accepting the Grammy award for Best Music Video, producer Ron Mohrhoff joked about calling Swift like Antonoff did. “Oh, hold on I want to call Taylor. Oh shoot, I don’t have her number,” Mohrhoff deadpanned.
The album 1989 was a huge success for Taylor Swift in 2015. The compilation spawned six singles, including the recently released “Out Of The Woods.” Swift recorded the video for the single late last year, which first aired during the 2016 New Year’s Eve festivities.
The album has already been critically acclaimed with its songs and videos earning four MTV Video Music Awards at the 2015 event , the Inquisitr previously reported. Like the Grammys, Taylor took home the top VMA award for Best Music Video, an award that Swift later shared with members of her squad by giving them replica MTV Moonman awards.
