Kanye West is making headlines again, as well as enemies, with his new song, and he’s not just drawing the attention of Taylor Swift with the lyrics of his new song, “Famous.” The song is a single off of West’s new album, T.L.O.P. ( The Life of Pablo ). Even prior to the release of the album, Swift asked Kanye not to release “Famous” as it stands, but it seems clear that Taylor’s opinion held no sway with West.
Following the release and the feud now developing by the two musical artists, actress Ruby Rose has also stepped up to defend Ms. Swift, raising her own objections against the Kanye West song.

While West’s representatives insist Kanye never sought out Taylor Swift’s approval before the release of “Famous,” Ms. Swift obviously knew about the song, because most reports state that she asked the rapper to change the lyrics. Taylor labeled the song as being misogynistic and, more specifically, insulting to herself.
The “Bad Blood” singer is obviously offended and feels that any peace between Kanye and herself has ended, due to the song and lyrics pertaining to herself.
“I feel like me and Taylor might still have sex. Why? I made that b**ch famous,” is one such line from the song.
Adding insult to injury, West had contacted Swift to ask that she share the link to his song with her Twitter followers.
“She declined and cautioned him about releasing a song with such a strong misogynistic message,” Taylor Swift’s representative said in a statement . “Taylor was never made aware of the actual lyric, ‘I made that b***h famous.”

Ms. Swift wasn’t the only one to raise objections to West’s new song. Actress Ruby Rose ( Orange Is the New Black ) came to Taylor’s defense, as she criticized “Famous” and Kanye for releasing it against Taylor’s wishes.
“Too many lines crossed,” Ruby Rose said in a tweet. “And now my dear friend Taylor.. Right before another huge moment for her.. Can I still support him and call myself a feminist? A friend? No.”
Rose’s remark that West has crossed too many lines comes after the rapper made derogatory comments against Amber Rose, said to have been slut-shaming remarks. Adding to his growing list of misogynistic offenses, West also came forward in defense of Bill Cosby. In that incident, West declared in all capital letters that Cosby was innocent of the sexual assault charges levied against him.
Ruby Rose is joined by other celebrities who are eager to criticize Kanye’s public statements for what they are: ignorant and misinformed trash talking. Comedian Sarah Silverman tweeted her disgust with the rapper’s remark, pointing out that nearly 50 women have come forward against Bill Cosby. She says in her tweet that the women accusing Cosby have nothing to gain, because the statute of limitations on rape has expired.
Kanye brought attention to the offending song, when it was featured among others at the launching of his new Yeezy Season 3 collection. Additionally, West hosted a listening party for the new album at New York City’s Madison Square Garden, which was attended by celebrities such as Gigi Hadid. Following the event and the firestorm that “Famous” has inspired, Gigi also came to Taylor Swift’s defense, even if her sentiments come late and seem half-hearted.
“My attendance somewhere does not mean I agree with everything being said in the music playing there,” Ms. Hadid tweeted, which seemed to defend her own attendance at the Kanye West listening party more than to lend aid to Taylor Swift. “My friends know of my loyalty.”
