Though Halo Wars is not on the top ten most requested list, the game is surely one of the more sought-after games from fans. Together with different other titles that are poised to make their way as part of the backwards compatibility, Halo Wars has been seen on the Xbox One Marketplace, which fans will be waiting for an official announcement.
A file size of 6.34GB is listed and would make for an excellent download ahead of the release of Halo Wars 2 .
The game will feature all-new Halo story and is set to arrive on Xbox One and Windows 10 in the fall of 2016, report developers Creative Assembly.
“The game is set to follow in the tradition of the original Halo Wars and will not mimic The Total War franchise Creative Assembly are famous for,” studio boss Tim Heaton told MCV .
“There’s loads of pressure.”
“We are absolutely using Halo Wars as a starting point. This isn’t going to be a Total War: Halo kind of game – this is Halo Wars taken to the next stage.”
“We really rated Halo Wars. It’s something we can add to and build on. As we’re learning about the universe, we’ve been working closely with 343 Industries, and that’s been a really interesting learning experience.”
As of today, the list includes around 150 games, but Microsoft has promised to add a lot more with time. The company also has its own section on the official Xbox One site where they detail about all the news and updates about new Xbox Games with Gold deals every month.
As Xbox One Backwards Compatibility falls under priority of most next generation owners, a lot of requests on several popular games are made, which Microsoft releases through votes. Only one of the game from the top ten charts has been confirmed to be featured.

Another new title Red Dead Redemption seems to have been leaked in the Xbox One backwards compatibility tool. The game was first spotted on NeoGAF, it appeared alongside Tekken Tag Tournament in the Xbox Live user’s game list.
