Mariah Carey may have only just announced her engagement , but it sounds like she’s already making plans when it comes to her wedding dress.
According to a new report by The Daily Mail , Carey has allegedly already reached out to a young fashion student based in Los Angeles named Sabrina DeSage, who specializes in creating extravagant designs featuring Mariah’s famous moniker, butterflies.
The source revealed that Carey had made it pretty clear that she wants to have butterflies, which regularly feature on her music artwork, incorporated into her wedding gown, and Carey knows that Sabrina is certainly no novice when it comes to creating luxury butterfly gowns.
“That’s [Mariah’s] thing of course, and Sabrina’s design has hundreds of gold butterflies, all sewn with 14-karat gold thread, flowing down the back of the silk gown and through the train,” the source told the site, revealing that the final dress Carey wears down the aisle could cost upwards of $500,000. “It’s going to be absolutely stunning,” the source said.

The Daily Mail is alleging that DeSage’s family know Mariah’s fiancée, James Packer, and reported that Carey recently contacted the teenage designer to reveal that she may be interested in wearing one of her designs when Carey ties the knot with James later this year.
“Mariah reached out last fall and made it clear that she has asked several designers to create a one of a kind design for her and that she will ultimately choose one of them,” a source reportedly told the site. “There’s no guarantee that Sabrina’s dress will be the one she wears on the big day, but it’s a really exciting opportunity.”
But it’s not only a butterfly dress that Mariah Carey has already been thinking about in the days since her engagement news broke. The site is also alleging that Mariah also has her eye on a venue, which will see her head down under with her Australian billionaire fiancée to his home country.
The site is reporting that Carey and Packer are looking to fly their guests on a private jet to Australia’s Hayman Island near the Great Barrier Reef, and the source is promising that Mariah is looking to throw “one amazing party” for her third walk down the aisle.
But of course, a $500,000 gown and multi-million dollar venue are both just a drop in the ocean for the couple.
People is reporting that Mariah’s man is estimated to be the fourth richest person in Australia and has a net worth upward of $4.7 billion. Carey herself also has more than enough spare change, as C elebrityNetWorth is alleging that she’s currently worth an estimated $520 million.

Carey and Packer also appear to have no problem splashing their cash about, as the site revealed that James recently signed $250,000 per month lease on a home in California where Carey and her twins Monroe and Moroccan are allegedly going to live.
Mariah and James announced their engagement last week after Packer proposed to the star with a 35-carat engagement ring , which is thought to be larger than both Beyoncé and Kim Kardashian’s respective rings combined.
The stunning ring is reported to cost a staggering $7.5 million dollars and was designed by luxury jewelry designer Richard Burton, who has designed a number of spectacular pieces for Carey in the past.
Burton told Vogue in an exclusive interview that he “wanted to give Mariah Carey something super sophisticated and something that took away all of the embellishments that a lot of people use when they design engagement rings.” The designer then described Mariah’s huge rock as being “an epic ring for an epic time in her life.”
