With all of the injuries and other things getting in the way, plans for WrestleMania 32 have taken huge hits and big obstacles needed to be overcome. Some of the superstars who have been put on the shelf will miss the big event, and it has caused WWE to scramble and come up with new ideas. Now, if the rumors end up being true, it looks like some matches and plans are finally starting to come together.
The losses of Seth Rollins, John Cena, Cesaro, Tyson Kidd, Randy Orton, and others have really affected what will happen at WrestleMania 32 . Well, with plans being changed and names being removed from the Pay-Per-View, WWE appears to finally be on the way to putting together the card.
With the Royal Rumble happening on Sunday, one of the biggest question marks remaining is: Who will be in the main event at WrestleMania ? When Vince McMahon turned the rumble match into one for the WWE World Heavyweight Championship, it changed things entirely.
Now, the champion himself, Roman Reigns, is starting out in the number one spot. Bleacher Report doesn’t think that he should win the match and keep the title, but a lot of rumors going around say it will end up that way.
Who will he face? Well, that’s something that will likely be determined at Fastlane , or as it may seem, that will be Triple H . Things are really shaping up for the winner of the rumble to be Reigns or Triple H, and whoever isn’t the champion will be the main event contender at WrestleMania 32 .
Sunday’s Royal Rumble is also likely going to be the final match in the Dean Ambrose vs. Kevin Owens feud. Look for Ambrose to hold onto the Intercontinental Title and likely move onto a feud with Chris Jericho , who will ultimately turn heel.
Last night on Monday Night Raw , the build-up to the Royal Rumble match was in full swing with a huge melee happening at the end. The interesting thing though is that The Wyatt Family destroyed Brock Lesnar to end the show and stood tall over him as it went off the air.
WrestleZone believes this is building up to a Lesnar vs. Wyatts feud leading up to WrestleMania 32 and could culminate with a one-on-one or handicap match then. It wouldn’t make sense for Lesnar to have a feud build-up to a match at Fastlane and then start an entirely new one afterward so this should continue through to April.
Another big question mark is The Undertaker , as it’s really not known what can be done with him at the event. He was originally scheduled to face Brock Lesnar, but that was taken care of last year. Then he was set to face John Cena, but an injury took care of that.
Christian Today wonders if WrestleMania 32 could take place without an Undertaker match, but that is highly unlikely. With the PPV taking place in Texas (Taker’s home state) and him being healthy enough to go, WWE isn’t going to miss an opportunity to have him wrestle. They will think of something.
The WWE Tag Team Titles are going to be on the line, and three teams have been primarily fighting over them for months now – The New Day, Usos, and Dudley Boyz. Could the rumored TLC match actually happen?
While things are shaping up, there are still a lot of questions left unanswered. After the Royal Rumble , more should be known but here is how WrestleMania 32 is rumored to look as of now:
- WWE World Heavyweight Title Triple H vs. Roman Reigns
- Intercontinental Title: Dean Ambrose vs. Chris Jericho
- TLC Match for WWE Tag Team Titles: The New Day vs. Usos vs. Dudley Boyz
- The Undertaker vs.???
- Divas Championship Match
- United States Title Match
- 3rd Annual Andre The Giant Memorial Battle Royal
- Brock Lesnar vs. Bray Wyatt or The Wyatt Family
So much could happen between WrestleMania 32 and now, and that includes the possible debuts of AJ Styles , Shinsuke Nakamura, and the Bullet Club. WWE could bring back Batista and/or Bill Goldberg and/or any number of others to help fill in some gaps. Anything could change up things between April 3 and now, but at least something is finally starting to come together.
