Bernie Sanders will win the election based upon some predictions, but first the Vermont senator needs to win the Democratic nomination away from Hillary Clinton. Dick Morris believes Sanders will be able to win several battleground states away from Clinton soon since her poll numbers have been dropping. Morris also believes the Republican field will be narrowed down to either Donald Trump or Ted Cruz, but it’s too early to make reliable 2016 predictions.
Samuel L. Jackson disagrees with Morris, saying that Bernie Sanders will lose the election, but he hopes Clinton will be able to pull out “skeletal files” on the Republican candidates like Trump, whom Jackson believes is running on “hate.” If this scenario happens, then some polls show that Clinton could easily lose to Trump in the general election.
In a related report by the Inquisitr , some 2016 predictions claim that Bernie Sanders will be the next president by a landslide, including a polling system that has successfully guessed every single U.S. presidential winner for many years. If Sanders does win, he has almost made it quite clear that will push to have the federal marijuana ban lifted completely .
Bernie Sanders Polls Make Him A Contender
Morris told NewsMax that he can safely predict that Bernie Sanders will win the nomination simply because of the actions of the Clinton campaign. Putting Bill Clinton on the campaign trail is one indicator, but in states like Iowa and New Hampshire, she has begun slipping in the polls by a noticeable margin.
“More importantly, it’s why two or three days ago she sent out an email to her supporters saying we might lose in New Hampshire or Iowa — and we have to be prepared to dig down, work harder in the other states,” Morris explained. “She wouldn’t have written that if her polls weren’t going to hell in those states.”
Another 2016 prediction is that Hillary Clinton may attempt to “steal” the Democratic nomination from Sanders by “getting the super delegates — all of whom believe that Sanders would be a disaster for the party.” If this scenario occurs, then Morris believes there may be a backlash in the Democratic Party, which would be similar to the expected backlash if Donald Trump is not nominated despite having the popular vote among Republicans.
Trump is clearly in first place based upon the polls, but Morris believes Cruz will be helped by the calendar.
“It’s too early to predict that, but you probably have a situation where by the middle of March or April 1 you know who the Republican candidate is going to be,” he said. “But the Democratic candidate could be shrouded in obscurity because of the process splitting between Hillary and Sanders.”
Samuel L. Jackson: Bernie Sanders Will Lose The Nomination
The Hateful Eight star admits that he likes Bernie, but he says Democrats should be voting for someone who can win the White House.
“I’m forever a Democrat, you know, and I’m gonna vote for Hillary,” explained Jackson, according to the Hollywood Reporter . “I mean, I love Bernie — Bernie’s a man of the people — but he can’t win. So I gotta cast my vote for a person that can keep those other people from winning, okay?”
Jackson says there are other multiple issues that favor Hillary if she wins the election. Clinton can “hit the ground running” and will not “have a huge learning curve” like President Obama.
The actor is also critical of Donald Trump and the GOP frontrunners, saying they are running on a GOP platform of hate.
“There are some other people that aren’t as open about what [Trump is] saying that are running also, you know, that are just as crazy,” Jackson claims. “[They] have just as much ill-will toward the common man — and not just the common black man. People who don’t have a certain amount of money don’t mean anything to them.”
