According to E! Online , very little is known about Swift’s upcoming “Out of the Woods” video, aside from the fact that it will air sometime during ABC’s Dick Clark’s New Year’s Rockin’ Eve. The programming, hosted by Ryan Seacrest and Jenny McCarthy, begins at 8 p.m. EST, but at what time the video will air, exactly, is yet unknown.

Since the announcement was made that the video would air on New Year’s Eve, media outlets have been speculating about what time the video will air. Most agree that it will likely be toward the end of the evening, and one USA Today writer anticipates that it will be “dramatic.”
“No word yet on what time it’ll premiere, but we bet it’ll be towards the end of the night, it’ll be very dramatic, and once again, we’ll enter yet another year crying over pop music.”

The song is a collaboration with Jack Antonoff of fun. and Bleachers. E! Online reports that the song is rumored to be about Taylor Swift’s relationship with her ex-boyfriend, Harry Styles of One Direction.
In an interview with Grammy Pro , Swift talked about writing “ Out of the Woods ,” her inspiration for the song, and what the song means to her.
“It just kind of conjured up all these feelings of anxiety I had in a relationship where everybody was watching, everybody was commenting on it. You’re constantly just feeling like, ‘Are we out of the woods yet? What’s the next thing gonna be? What’s the next hurdle we’re gonna have to jump over? Are we gonna make it to next week?’ It was interesting to write about a relationship where you’re just honestly like, ‘This is probably not gonna last, but how long is it gonna last?’ Those fragile relationships … It doesn’t mean they’re not supposed to happen. The whole time we were having happy memories or crazy memories or ridiculously anxious times, in my head it was just like, ‘Are we OK yet? Are we there yet? Are we out of this yet?’ “
The single is the sixth from Taylor Swift’s 1989 album. Other singles Swift has released from the album include “Shake It Off,” “Blank Space,” “Style,” “Bad Blood,” and “Wildest Dream.”
Taylor Swift’s tour for the album grossed more than $250 million — $200 million of which was brought in during the North American leg of Swift’s tour. That $200 million smashed the previous North American revenue record of $162 million, which was previously held by The Rolling Stones for their 2005 North American tour. In total, Swift performed 83 shows in 53 cities on her 1989 tour, selling nearly 2.3 million tickets.
