‘Suicide Squad’ Synopsis Revealed, An ‘Enigmatic Insuperable Entity’ To Be Faced, Rick Flagg Suspicions

The synopsis to the dark, gritty Suicide Squad movie has been revealed via a collectibles statues line and looks just to be as equally as dreary. The DC Comics-inspired film had already released its trailer, and though it wasn’t too plot-revealing, there is now a write-up available regarding what’s going down. That being said, it would be interesting to see how the movie compares to the publication.

The comic book version of this team of anti-heroes is not too much different from the write-up in that they have an alternative label, Task Force X. These were considered villains on death row which are assets to the U.S. government and are organized by Amanda Waller.

This Suicide Squad collectibles synopsis isn’t too far off, seemingly, according to Slash Film .

“It feels good to be bad… Assemble a team of the world’s most dangerous, incarcerated Super Villains, provide them with the most powerful arsenal at the government’s disposal, and send them off on a mission to defeat an enigmatic, insuperable entity. U.S. intelligence officer Amanda Waller has determined only a secretly convened group of disparate, despicable individuals with next to nothing to lose will do. However, once they realize they weren’t picked to succeed but chosen for their patent culpability when they inevitably fail, will the Suicide Squad resolve to die trying, or decide it’s every man for himself?”

There had been movie rumor and speculation of what kind of “baddie” this describes. Slash Film guesses it to be Jared Leto’s Joker character. Interestingly enough, a promotional Suicide Squad group photo doesn’t include him either. The trailer only shows him on his own in what looks to be torturing someone, though some movie scenes shot on the street in a souped-up vehicle shows him one-on-one with Margot Robbie.

There also had been movie rumors going around regarding their acquisition of “bio-weaponry” which belong to the Enchantress. The character is to be played by Cara Delevigne who described the role as having a dual personality , according to Screen Rant. The comic book version of the character suggests she has a villainous side, and it seems the character description somewhat parallel each other. Thus the “enigmatic” description of teams’ opposing forces.

Considering the Suicide Squad’s aforementioned synopsis, particularly the last portion of it, the description talks of in case the team fails due to the “unstable nature of the participants.” This allows for a “built-in deniability,” according to Screen Rant .

Then, there is lack of much information entailing Rick Flagg, played by Joel Kinnaman. The character has attracted attention, per a report from Inverse , ironically due to his lack of appearance on the front cover of Empire . He’s not a very well-known character in the DC Comics world. He does, however, play the leader of the Suicide Squad, so it stands to question why he would not be on a cover of a popular entertainment magazine that just featured the entire cast.

Suicide Squad originally planned to have Dark Knight’s Tom Hardy to play Kinnaman’s character, Flagg, but he had to back off due to a scheduling situation. Hardy was disappointed , according to Collider .

“Was I bummed? Of course I was. I hate f**king losing work. I kept bemoaning that they were losing me significant money on a daily basis. Actually, it was good for my character.”

The project stars Will Smith as Deadshot, Margot Robbie as Harley Quinn, Cara Delevingne as Enchantress, Jared Leto as the Joker, Viola Davis as Amanda Waller, Jai Courtney as Captain Boomerang, and Batman v. Superman’s Ben Affleck as the Batman. The Suicide Squad movie is written and directed by David Ayer.
