Lolo Jones is going to the Olympics. The beautiful track field athlete finished third today in the women’s 100-meter hurdles to earn her spot at the 2012 Summer Olympic Games in London.
Jones, who is sponsored by ASICS, has had a tough road to the Olympics. In 2011, the athlete had spinal cord surgery that put a big question mark over the 2012 Olympic Games. But Jones was able to overcome her figurative, and literal, hurdles to qualify for the Olympics.
Jones said:
“Stop at Never! It feels amazing. So many road blocks and people counting me out, but I just kept overcoming. I’m thrilled and honored to represent everybody out there fighting for a dream.”
ASICS Vice President of Marketing Erik Forsell added:
“ASICS is proud to support Lolo in her training on the road to the 2012 Summer Games. She is a valued member of our prestigious team who truly embodies the spirit of STOP AT NEVER. We look forward to cheering her on as she represents the United States this summer.”
Jones became a household name this year after starring in an HBO special about her journey to the Olympics. Jones made headlines when she talked about staying a virgin and has also become one Twitter’s favorite athletes .

Lolo Jones, as well as Dawn Harper and Kellie Wells, have already made the U.S. Olympic Track Field Team, but the remaining spot still has to be decided. Yahoo reports that Allyson Felix and Jeneba Tarmoh are in a dead heat and the final spot could be decided by a coin flip.
