With less than two weeks until WWE’s annual December pay-per-view TLC , the results of last night’s Monday Night Raw made clearer what we can expect to see at the Christmas-season event that features more tables, ladders, and chairs than you’ll know what to do with.
- WWE TLC: Sheamus (c) vs. Roman Reigns — TLC Match for the WWE World Heavyweight Championship: on last week’s Monday Night Raw , Triple H made it clear that Roman Reigns would receive a rematch for the title at TLC . However, a new twist was put on things during last night’s WWE Raw . Unwilling to withstand the jokes being made by Sheamus and The New Day during the show’s opening segment, Reigns took out Sheamus and stole the belt. A match is set for Raw : Roman gets his rematch tonight, but to win the title, he has to defeat Sheamus in 5:15 or less (the amount of time Reigns actually held the title). It will also have an impact on Dean Ambrose’s future IC title shot and the Usos’ tag title match (more on that below). The match takes place halfway through the show, ending in a DQ win for Reigns. He is not the champion, but his friends keep their title shots. The main event for the night ends up being the Usos, Reigns and Ambrose against the “League of Nations” (Sheamus, Del Rio, Rusev and Wade Barrett) and all three members of The New Day. The heels get a cheap victory. All matches for TLC are still on.
In 13 days, who will leave #WWETLC with the @WWE World Hvt. Championship? @WWESheamus or @WWERomanReigns ? #RAW

- WWE TLC: Kevin Owens (c) vs. Dean Ambrose — WWE Intercontinental Championship Match: inconspicuous by his absense from Raw , IC Champ Kevin Owens still must face challenger Dean Ambrose at WWE TLC in twelve days. That match was almost nixed when Triple H added a stipulation to the Roman Reigns/Sheamus match: if Reigns doesn’t win the match in less than 5:15, Reigns’ friend Ambrose would lose his title shot at TLC . The Rock’s cousin did win in under 5:15 — albeit by disqualification — and the Lunatic Fringe is still scheduled to face the current title-holder at TLC . So far, no stipulations have been added to the match, aside from it being a title match.

- WWE TLC : The New Day (c) vs. Lucha Dragons vs. The Usos — Triple Threat Tag Team Match for the WWE Tag Team Championship: as with the Ambrose/Owens match, a stipulation was added to the Reigns/Sheamus match by The Authority in which Reigns’ cousins — the Usos — would be removed from their title shot at TLC if Roman couldn’t beat Sheamus in 5:15 on Raw . This came after the Usos competed with the Lucha Dragons to determine a No. 1 contender, only for the match to be ended prematurely by a New Day run-in. Also in line with the IC title match, no TLC-related stipulations have been added to the match (although Triple Threat Matches are technically no disqualification matches, generally speaking).

- WWE TLC: Alberto Del Rio (c) vs. Jack Swagger — Chairs Match for the WWE United States Championship: after Del Rio beat Goldust cleanly on WWE Raw last night, Jack Swagger made his way to the ring to confront the current US champ and his manager, Zeb Colter. Although it hasn’t been made official at WWE’s TLC page , their chair-shot showdown from last week gives every indication that they’ll face off at TLC with the seats of metal acting as legal weapons. While Del Rio was involved in the main event match, Swagger did not make another appearance last night.
- WWE TLC: Charlotte (c) vs. Becky Lynch vs. Paige vs. Sasha Banks — Ladder Match for the WWE Divas Championship: as Lords of Pain recounted, Becky Lynch approached Charlotte last night, asking for a friendly singles match. Charlotte accepted, and mentioned that her legendary father, Ric Flair, would be at ringside. When the Raw match begins, Paige is on commentary and Team BAD is watching on a monitor backstage. After a mostly fair match, Charlotte fakes an ankle injury while her dad distracts Lynch. This resulted in a roll-up pin victory for the champ. When Becky later accused Charlotte of cheating, the Divas Champion claimed it was simply “though love” and that they were still on good terms. When Charlotte walks off, Paige shows up to fan the flames. Although this ladder match hasn’t been confirmed for TLC , it seems the likely conclusion to the recent WWE Divas drama. Paige gets another rematch, Becky gets her own rematch, and Sasha Banks finally gets a Divas Championship shot after being built up for weeks (including a win this week over Brie Bella). At most TLC events, there is one TLC match (Sheamus/Reigns), one tables match (see below), one chairs match (Del Rio/Swagger) and one ladder match. With a TLC match already confirmed, and obvious choices for the chairs match and tables match, it seems likely that the Divas Championship will be awarded the ladder match.
- WWE TLC: The Wyatt Family vs. The Dudley Boyz — Tag Team Tables Match: the WWE can’t have a pay-per-view featuring a tables match without utilizing the Dudley Boyz. That’s the obvious conclusion they’re building towards. On Raw last night, the Dudleyz revealed four tables with one of the Wyatt Family members’ names on each piece of wood. Completely outnumbered, the Dudley Boyz bring out Tommy Dreamer. A six-man tag begins featuring Bray’s henchmen against the Dudleys and Tommy Dreamer. The match ends in a double disqualification before Bray Wyatt is put through a table at ringside. The question that remains is exactly how the table match will be booked for TLC . Will it be a simple tag team match? Will it be a six-man tag? Will all four Wyatts face the three ECW originals in a handicap match? Could another ECW original return to make it an eight-man tag match? And will it be an elimination tag match, where all members of a team must be put through tables? Or will the first body through wood mark the end of the match?
Other happenings from last night’s WWE Monday Night Raw :
- Dolph Ziggler defeated Tyler Breeze cleanly in a singles match. Unrelated to this match, Ziggler’s name would come up in the show two more times (see below).
- The Miz talked with Rusev and Lana about their relationship on the latest episode of MizTV . And talking about their break-up — where she clarifies that she never had sex with Dolph Ziggler — and engagement, they start making out. Ryback interrupts and they have a match. “The Big Guy” wins by count-out after the Bulgarian Brute has to check on Lana. Rusev blames Ryback for hurting Lana.
- Stardust has another backstage segment from his “star room.” When he calls for The Ascension , he gets Titus O’Neil instead.
- Adam Rose had the first of what appears to be a recurring segment called The Rosebush , where he will apparently give updates on the love-lives of current WWE Superstars. This week, he talks about Lana and Rusev, as well as the Dolph Ziggler/Summer Rae/Tyler Breeze drama:
