Jennifer Grey is finally dishing on her famous Dirty Dancing lift with Patrick Swayze. And while many have viewed the film and attempted to try that lift just like Jennifer and Patrick, Grey admits that she’s never done it since filming the popular film, reported ABC News .

Although it’s been many years since the 1987 movie mesmerized audiences, Jennifer fondly remembers the experience. At 55, Grey finally confessed the truth: she never rehearsed that fabulous dance lift.

“I only did it on the day I shot it. Never rehearsed it, never done it since. I don’t know how all these people who reenact it have the guts to throw themselves into the arms of anyone other than Patrick Swayze. It’s insane!”

Patrick had the role of Johnny Castle in Dirty Dancing , while Jennifer portrayed Frances “Baby” Houseman. And Grey has no desire to try the dance lift again, despite requests when she participated on Dancing With The Stars .

“It happened, enjoy it, watch it over and over again but never ask me to do it again because I’m too f-ing old. I have a family and I want to live longer,” joked Jennifer.

Grey and Swayze became beloved in Dirty Dancing , but the film almost didn’t make it to movie theaters, according to the Huffington Post .

The actors had clashed when they worked together on Red Dawn , and one sponsor fled from the movie when the abortion subplot was not removed. Moreover, when Dirty Dancing was tested in front of viewers, it was a disaster. Jennifer fretted that all the work going into the movie was pointless.

“We were just torturing ourselves for nothing,” Grey recalled thinking.

Despite those initial hiccups, the movie was a box office hit. It won Grammy Awards for music, an Oscar, and nearly $214 million dollars gross internationally.

Ironically, though, one of its most famous lines was disliked by Swauze.

“I hated that line, ‘Nobody puts baby in a corner,’ ” Patrick initially reacted.

Grey became a familiar face through Dirty Dancing , but then she chose to alter it through plastic surgery by having a nose job, reported CBS News .

Plastic surgeon Dr. Anthony Youn pointed out that Jennifer illustrates how having a rhinoplasty (nose job) can change someone’s appearance dramatically.

“The removal of the bump (dorsal hump) on Grey’s nose made her look very different from the ‘Baby’ character she played in ‘Dirty Dancing,’ ” pointed out Dr. Youn.

Compared to the mole that Cindy Crawford has never had removed and the lips that Julia Roberts and her fans love, Jennifer’s nose distinguished her from other actresses prior to her surgery. Some say it hurt her career, although Dr. Youn thinks she looks improved.

“But the problem is that she doesn’t look like she used to,” admitted the plastic surgeon.

In addition to the nose job , about which Jennifer has been open, Grey has likely had other cosmetic surgery done, according to Radar Online .

Although Jennifer admitted that she rues having that rhinoplasty, Grey appears to have had Botox and other treatments, according to Dr. Youn. All of those changes have turned Baby into a babe.

“Her lips appear to have been injected with a plumping agent, likely Juvederm. Her wrinkles lines also appear filled in, possibly with Restylane. Her forehead is as smooth as a polished dance floor, likely from injections of Botox.”

Prior to going on Dancing With The Stars , Jennifer shared that she was considering having more plastic surgery to remove the wrinkles beneath her eyes. Grey worried that the lines were too apparent when she wore cosmetics. But Jennifer revealed that her husband convinced her not to continue altering her look with more surgery.
