Teresa Giudice is scheduled to be released from the Federal Correctional Facility in Danbury, Connecticut, on December 23, but according to a new report, the Real Housewives of New Jersey star’s time in confinement is far from over. Although it has yet to be confirmed publicly by authorities or Teresa Giudice’s lawyer, a source claims Teresa Giudice will begin a two-month house arrest sentence once her prison term is complete.

Below is what a source revealed to Radar Online on October 12 in regard to Teresa Giudice’s upcoming house arrest.
“[Teresa Giudice] will still be under the supervision of the Bureau of Prisons and will be required to wear an ankle bracelet while under house arrest until February 2016. She will only be able to leave the house with prior permission from the B.O.P. If she attempts to leave without permission, [Teresa Giudice] will go back to prison.”
Teresa Giudice began her prison sentence in January of this year after pleading guilty to bank and wire fraud along with husband Joe, the father of her four daughters. During their sentencing, which occurred in October of last year, Teresa Giudice was given a 15-month prison sentence, while her husband, who is not a citizen of the United States, received 41 months and a possible deportation. However, due to their children, Teresa Giudice and her husband were allowed to serve staggered sentences, with Teresa Giudice first serving her term and Joe starting his sentence once she’s released.
While it was previously unknown how much time Teresa Giudice would have with husband Joe before he was scheduled to turn himself in, Radar Online claims the reality couple will spend nearly three months together before Joe is expected to surrender to a federal prison in “early March.”
As for whether or not Teresa Giudice’s husband will be forced to serve the entirety of his 41-month sentence, that has yet to be revealed. Since Teresa Giudice will have served less than 12 months of her 15-month sentence, one would assume Joe would also be eligible for a lesser sentence. So far, that has not yet been determined.

Either way, Joe and Teresa Giudice are looking forward to the time they’ll be spending together once she returns home from Connecticut.
“[Teresa Giudice] is obviously counting down the days to the release, and is happy to have three months with Joe. It’s more time than [Teresa Giudice] had previously been told they would have together as a family.”
Although it wasn’t revealed why Joe wouldn’t have to turn himself in until early March, it could have something to do with Teresa Giudice’s alleged house arrest. If Teresa Giudice will be forced to remain at home for the first two months after her release, she won’t be able to tend to her family duties, so Joe’s presence will likely be allowed, and required, at that time.
With Teresa Giudice in prison, her husband and daughters spent time in front of the cameras with Bravo for The Real Housewives of New Jersey: Teresa Checks In , a three-part documentary special that chronicled their lives with Teresa Giudice behind bars. On the show, several members of Teresa Giudice’s family has been featured, including her brother, Joe Gorga, and his wife, Melissa Gorga.
