So Nyeo Shi Dea, better known by their international moniker of Girls’ Generation, is presently dominating K-pop charts with the second phase of their comeback with the release of Lion Heart . Girls’ Generation appears to be doing well since restructuring after Jessica Jung left the group in 2014. The group has slowly and surely got their bearings again with the release of their first track as an eight-member group, “ Party .”

The fact Girls’ Generation has been able to comeback from the aforementioned professional tragedy has fans, who call themselves Sones, ecstatic. However, all that the new Girls’ Generation has accomplished almost ended when the K-pop mega group was involved in a car accident. Thankfully, nobody has been reported hurt.

Girls’ Generation was heading to CJ E&M Studios to perform on the show M! Countdown , most likely to showcase the latest singles from Lion Heart , “Lion Heart” and “You Think,” for their August 27, 2015 show. While on the way, the van escorting Girls’ Generation collided with another vehicle driving next to them, as reported by Koreaboo . S.M. Entertainment made a statement pertaining to the accident.

“Because of construction nearby, the girls were involved in a small collision. Fortunately, no one was hurt and the members finished their performance successfully.”

If any of the eight members of Girls’ Generation — Taeyon, Sunny, Tiffany, Hyoyeon, Yuri, Sooyoung, Yoona, or Seohyun — felt some form of trauma after the accident, they did not show it during their performance on M! Countdown . In fact, Girls’ Generation performed well enough to win their third trophy that night , as reported by KpopStarz . They followed-up the successful night with two more trophy-winning performances over the next couple of days to bring their total trophy count to five.

To help ease fans’ concerns, Tiffany and Taeyeon have hit up their social media accounts with gratitude. The stars have expressed that without their Sones, their comeback wouldn’t have been a success.
