A small earthquake rattled homes in Ojai, around 80 miles north west of Los Angeles, California this afternoon (May 8) at 1:27pm local time.
The 4.2 quake was felt is surrounding areas, including the outskirts of Los Angeles as close in as Northridge. There are no reports of damage or injuries.
Local reports suggest that the quake lasted as long as 15 seconds.
