Foo Fighters frontman Dave Grohl pointed out a man who had been moved to tears during an acoustic version of “My Hero” while performing a show in Greenwood Village, Colorado last night. Grohl spotted the teary-eyed man while speaking to the crowd and pointed him out with his crutch, one of his on-stage accessories after breaking his leg during a recent show . Grohl interrupted himself telling the audience member not to cry, then taunted him as he shied away. Ultimately, he invited the emotional fan on stage. Alternative Nation transcribed the exciting Foo Fighters’evening’s events.
“Don’t cry motherf***er, I know you’re drunk, don’t cry. Are you crying right now? You’re f**king crying aren’t you? (Laughs) I love you man, look at you, holy sh*t. You know what, f*ck that speech I was just going to make, I’m singing this sh*t to you right now. I’m gonna sing this f***ing song right in your face, man to man, prison style, I’m going man to man. Me and you, I want some real tears, you better sing it with me. (Laughs) Don’t make me cry, because I promised I wouldn’t do this.”
“Get closer, get front row! Where are you going motherf***er? Get back here! No you get here, front row. I’m going to sing this to your crying grown man a** right now. Front row, against the rail, right here, get in here motherf***er, you drunk emotional mess!”
The Foo Fighters’ fan named Anthony managed to get on stage with the Foo Fighters from some help in the audience. Once he reached him, Grohl serenaded the man and encouraged him to sing with him. The audience responded with cheers and loads of laughter when the Foo Fighters’s front man Grohl pointed to Anthony and told them not to let him drive. The Foo Fighters band members also looked highly amused.

The Foo Fighters are currently on tour promoting their new album Sonic Highways , released in November 2014. Certainly Dave Grohl’s easy, laid-back, emotion-provoking stage presence and singing make for a good show. The Foo Fighters and their wacky antics but serious effort in music have been delighting audiences since 1995.
