Will The Real Housewives Of New York City season 8 include Bethenny Frankel? Last fall, ahead of filming on season 7 of the New York-based Real Housewives series, Frankel announced she was returning to the show after taking three seasons off. And now, ahead of season 8, fans are wondering if the Real Housewives star will be a part of next year’s show.
On August 11, Reality Tea claimed Frankel had appeared on this morning’s TODAY show, where she discussed her possible return to the Real Housewives for season eight, claiming she was “undecided.” According to the site, the series is rumored to be in the “beginning stages of casting.”
As for season 7 of the Real Housewives , Frankel said “the craziness” was fun, and she had a good time.
As the Inquisitr previously reported, Frankel announced her Real Housewives return in October of last year by sharing a special message to fans on her blog, explaining why she felt compelled to rejoin the Bravo reality series.
“After many years of hesitation, I have decided to return to my roots on The Real Housewives of New York City . I have been through a long and arduous road since my departure, and I’m finally coming out on the other side. It finally feels right to go home again.”
After leaving the Real Housewives after season 3, Frankel went on to star in a Real Housewives spinoff with her then-fiance, Jason Hoppy. The series’ first season, Bethenny Getting Married , followed the Real Housewives star as she walked down the aisle and prepared to welcome her first child, daughter Brynn. The series, later renamed Bethenny Ever After , ran for three total seasons before Frankel moved on to pursue her own talk show, Bethenny , which was later canceled due to subpar ratings.
“After my talk show ended, I really had doubts about ever going back to television. I’ve been through a lot personally, and I wasn’t sure I wanted to expose myself to any more public scrutiny. That said, I’ve been so fortunate to be able to connect with the audience and inspire them to fulfill their wildest dreams. I learned a lot about myself through that experience. I really need to be able to express myself freely and creatively; I like when no two days are the same, and I don’t thrive when being filtered or edited.”
The Real Housewives Of New York City season 7 finale airs tonight at 9 p.m. on Bravo.
