AAA Wrestling in Mexico is set for Triplemania XXIII this Sunday, August 9. The show will air live from Mexico City, Mexico at 7:00 p.m. ET. For the first time ever, Triplemania will be available live on pay-per-view across the United States and Canada, along with English announcing.
One of the biggest reasons the show is getting so much publicity is that it features the return to PPV of Rey Mysterio Jr . Mysterio will face Myzteziz in what is being billed as a dream match. They are two of the most iconic masked wrestlers in Mexico’s modern era, and there’s no better stage for them to settle the score than at Triplemania.
Outside of Mysterio, another former major WWE star is on the card as Alberto El Patron (formerly Alberto Del Rio) takes on Brian Cage in a hair versus hair match.
The full Triplemania XXIII card is below.
- Dream Match Rey Mysterio Jr. Vs. Myzteziz
- Hair vs. Hair Match Alberto El Patron Vs. Brian Cage
- Blue Demon Jr. & La Parka Vs. El Mesias & Electro Shock
- Villano III’s Farewell Match Los Villanos Vs. The Psycho Circus

Triplemania XXIII is being offered at a bargain price on PPV, with the high definition broadcast coming in at $29.99, and the standard definition broadcast being sold for $19.99.
Triplemania Executive Producer Court Bauer told the Miami Herald that the time is perfect for AAA’s expansion into the North American market.
“AAA is one of the hottest Latin sports media brands with a growing global presence. TripleManía XXIII on pay-per-view is a major step for AAA’s global strategy. What better way to enter the U.S. and Canadian pay-per-view market than with this very special event.”
