Mariah Carey has re-imagined her lushious “Infinity” track from her singles collection with a remix featuring French Montana and an unforeseen cameo from Justin Bieber . A low-quality audio of their collaboration has now leaked online.
The snippet reveal follows last week’s news that the veteran songstress joined forces with French Montana in a Hollywood recording studio. After he and Mariah posted the same pic on Instagram taken with Justin Bieber and the Detroit producer Detail alongside a “Coming soon” caption, speculation sparked as to how the surprise line-up came to be, and whether a musical collaboration was in the works.
TMZ subsequently reported that the Biebs had heard Mimi was in session and showed up to the studio because he is a huge fan of Carey. The pair duetted on a reworking of “All I Want for Christmas is You” in 2011. Gossip Cop were then told Mariah was so flattered by Justin rocking up that she invited him to put down vocals on what we now know was this “Infinity” remix.
The audio is far from clear, and there’s a lot of background noise. But, after Mariah kicks off the slow-jam, Justin’s unmistakable R&B crooning is heard from 1:20 on what sounds like a verse. The Canadian sounds strong and rhythmically tight, although there is a lot of competing noise.

The Bieber-inclusive audio comes after Mariah shared teases of the remixed song in two behind-the-scenes Instagram clips from a location in Malibu, California on Wednesday.
Both videos reveal the mother-of-two vibing up with French. In the first, the pair are seen listening to “Infinity” as Mariah’s vocals playback. In the second video, Carey walks out of the frame, while Montana lip syncs a languid verse, before ducking out and returning with what appears to be a conch shell for some reason.
As yet, there is no word on when the final version of the Carey-Montana-Bieber remix will land. But there’s no doubt many will be curious to hear it.
Later on Wednesday, Montana shared an Instagram photo which included himself, Justin, and Lil Wayne in a recording studio. It’s unclear whether the session was old or taken last night, as French previously told MTV News that Bieber guested on Lil Wayne’s Tha Carter V album, which is currently being withheld by Cash Money Records.
To infinity and beyond.
