2 Year Old Genius To Join Mensa [VIDEO]

With an IQ of 154, this newly initiated member of Mensa sits at just 2 years old and is the second toddler already admitted to the prestigious IQ society this year.

Anthony Popa Urria of Calgary is far beyond his years in terms of intellect. The toddler can already recite the alphabet backward and forward, count to 1,000, and list the planets in the solar system, days in a week, months in a year and the seasons.

Popa Urria can speak multiple languages including English, Spanish, and Romanian. Still in diapers, he can solve complex 70+ piece puzzles, read full sentences in unfamiliar books, as well as write full sentences.

It’s quite evident that this apple doesn’t fall far from the tree.

“He wasn’t even speaking yet, but my mom would have three flash cards up and she would say, ‘Pick the letter C,’ and he would point to it,” explained Anthony’s mother Laura, who holds four degrees, including a master of economics.

“He was very alert since he was about four months old. He was curious, looking around,” added his grandmother Felicia.

While Popa Urria is the youngest member of the Canadian group, U.S. born Emmelyn Roettger was admitted to Mensa in March, just 1 month short of her 3rd birthday.

Interestingly enough, Roettger was originally thought to be autistic early on as it seemed that the young child would avoid eye contact with almost everyone that looked at her.

Doctors further studied Emmelyn’s case and found a simple solution.

“It turned out that she just needed glasses!” her mother Michelle Horne, 41, told MSNBC. “It was so obvious that any delays she had were vision-related. From there on out, she just took off.”

With Roettger sitting on an IQ of 159 and Popa Urria’s IQ of 154, both toddler’s sit only a few points behind the likes of Stephen Hawking and Albert Einstein.

Not bad company by any means.
