Kim Richards is out of rehab and back in touch with her former Real Housewives of Beverly Hills co-star, Brandi Glanville. According to a report by the U.K.’s Daily Mail Online on July 20, Glanville opened up about Richards’ current situation in her New Weekly column earlier this week.
“I spoke to [Kim Richards] – she just got out of rehab. She sounds like she’s in great spirits. She’s just trying to find a place to live and move forward with her acting.”
The column went on to explain that while there have been reports claiming Kim Richards left rehab early, that wasn’t the case. When she returned home, claimed Glanville, it was because she had reached the end of her treatment program — not because she quit.
Kim Richards and Glanville have been in touch since filming wrapped on The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills Season 5, but their relationship has led to serious speculation among Bravo fans. Because of Glanville’s wild behavior and frequent drinking, many have felt she’s a bad influence. Other have claimed Richards relapse was her fault, although that is nothing more than a rash assumption.
Following Kim Richards’ relapse, she reportedly went to rehab three different times, and most recently spent 30 days in treatment for alcohol addiction.
As the Inquisitr previously reported, Kim Richards has allegedly not returned to outpatient care after leaving her Malibu, California, rehab facility last weekend. Although the former reality star was reportedly due to receive care in the days that followed, a source told Radar Online last week she had skipped four outpatient sessions .
“[Kim Richards] has not been back to the center and has not been doing her outpatient therapy. She has already missed four sessions.
The rehab program directors are just assuming that [Kim Richards] isn’t returning to treatment there, and no one is going to chase her down and try to force it on her. She did not get along with hardly anyone there to begin with and when she left she had not even really started her intended program, which was at least three months.”
In addition to her failure to attend outpatient care, Kim Richards has made headlines for her alleged firing from The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills after five seasons. Earlier this month, following her relapse and arrest, TMZ confirmed Kim Richards would not return to the show , either in a full-time or part-time role.
