NASA’s Curiosity rover has photographed yet another alien face on Mars — an alien face sculpture, according to an online UFOlogist.
The alien face sculpture on Mars was found by UFOlogist Scott Waring — editor of UFO Sightings Daily — in photos of the Mars terrain taken by NASA’s Curiosity rover.
But skeptics say the sighting is yet another example of what psychologists term pareidolia , the tendency of the pattern recognition functions of the human brain to perceive familiar patterns in otherwise random or meaningless clutter of data.
But, of course, online UFOlogists dismiss what they consider skeptics’ untenable pareidolia explanation of the mounting “evidence” of an ancient Mars civilization allegedly destroyed in a nuclear holocaust.
Waring is undaunted by skeptics shouting “pareidolia!” at every new “evidence” of ancient Mars civilization. He believes the photographic evidence speaks for itself and requires no elaborate thesis to defend it. He challenges skeptics, arguing that if this alien face sculpture had been found on Earth everyone would assume that it is man-made. But, according to Waring, skeptics reject the glaring evidence of an ancient culture and civilization on Mars because they assume they know the planet has never hosted advanced civilizations.
The photos show the alleged alien face with distinct humanoid features — a face with a “pointy” nose, wearing a monkish cloak over the head.
“I have seen this alien face before and it is human-like with a pointy nose. The alien is wearing a cloak over their head and around their neck. Sure the face is really beaten, but if this was found on Earth, they would say it is manmade. Just because of its location…many deny the truth. Time to… face the facts.”
And this is not the first time that Mars anomaly hunters have sighted an alien face on the red planet. Humanoid faces starring out of Mars photos are commonplace in the bizarre world of Mars anomaly research.
The photo below shows the famous “Face on Mars,” found in a photo taken on July 25, 1976, by NASA’s Viking 1 orbiter from about 1.2 miles over the Cydonia region of Mars.
The face has a strikingly humanoid appearance. But NASA’s Viking Chief Scientist Gerry Sofften, dismissed the face as a “trick of light and shadow.”
But despite evidence to the contrary from higher resolution images snapped in subsequent missions, Mars anomaly hunters have stuck to their guns, insisting that NASA’s orbiter discovered evidence of ancient civilization on Mars.
Since the discovery of the “Face on Mars” anomaly hunters have uncovered hundreds of other “evidence” of long-lost Martian civilization. They have found flying saucers abandoned on the Martian surface by alien visitors, sculpture of a woman sitting in a contemplative posture, wild elephants roaming the face of the planet, lizard creatures, dinosaur fossils, World War II-style military helmets, even alien traffic lights.
