The Real Housewives of New Jersey star Teresa Giudice is heading back to television. TMZ reports that Bravo, which airs all the popular Real Housewives reality shows, will pay Giudice and her husband, Joe Giudice, to appear in a two-part special about the family’s life while Teresa serves her 15-month prison sentence.
According to TMZ , Bravo couldn’t get cameras into the correctional facility, so Teresa’s appearances will be limited to phone calls. The special will star Joe Giudice but feature appearances by Melissa Gorga, wife of Teresa’s brother Joe Gorga. The proceeds from the special are expected to go toward the $400,000 Joe Giudice owes the federal government for fraud.
There is no air date or title available for the special. Teresa is scheduled for release in February, and Joe Giudice is expected to begin serving his prison sentence shortly after her release.
It seems that there will be no shortage of drama for Teresa to draw on if she is invited to rejoin the cast of The Real Housewives of New Jersey . Radar Online reports that Joe Giudice hasn’t been spending all of his nights at home pining for Teresa and caring for their daughters. Apparently, Giudice has been seen wining and dining female friends at Rare The Steak House in Little Falls, New Jersey. The most recent dinner occurred the night of oldest daughter Gia’s eighth-grade graduation.
“They were partying their butts off,” sources told Radar Online . “They were drinking wine and he was acting cozy enough with her that people took notice and were appalled.”
Gia, 14, has reportedly tried to shield Teresa from news of her husband’s nights out, but sources say that Teresa knows Joe hasn’t been faithful, and she’s livid.
Whether Teresa decides to divorce Joe Giudice or stays with him while he serves his jail sentence, the Giudice family drama will likely kick back into gear if Teresa rejoins the cast of The Real Housewives of New Jersey , and the show might need the infusion of Teresa’s drama.
As previously reported by the Inquisitr , the future of The Real Housewives of New Jersey has been in doubt since Teresa’s legal troubles began. Teresa and her on-again-off-again feud with sister-in-law Melissa Gorga and friends Jacqueline Laurita and Caroline Manzo had been mainstays of the show, but all of the feuds seemed to end with the looming threat of prison time for Teresa and Joe. Reportedly, Teresa officially signed on to return for The Real Housewives of New Jersey Season 7 in May. Filming is expected to begin when she is released from prison in February 2016.
