Ted Nugent has never been afraid to speak his mind and that fact has led to various controversial comments. On Tuesday the rocker took to the airwaves with conservative radio show host Dana Loesch at which point he said he “100%” stands behind recent comments he made at an NRA rally in which he said President Barack Obama should be beheaded. Specifically Nugent noted that the GOP needs to:
“Ride into that battlefield and chop their heads off in November,” referring to the Democrats.
Nugent then called Democrats a bunch of “criminals” and “coyotes” who should all be shot for peeing on couches. Nugent does admit that he wasn’t attempting to threaten anyone but he then goes on to call himself a “black Jew at a Nazi-Klan rally.”
The comment is not only disrespectful to black and jews, it doesn’t quite make sense. Is Nugent calling the government a “Nazi-Klan rally?” or was he referring to Liberals?
Nugent went on to tell Loesch and his listeners:
“Let’s get right to the guts of it, shall we, Dana? Saul Alinsky. This is the Saul Alinsky rules for radicals playbook. The Nazis and the Klan hate me. See, I’m a black Jew at a Nazi-Klan rally. And there are some power-abusing corrupt monsters in our federal government that despise me because I have the audacity to speak the truth.”
In the meantime Ted Nugent says he spoke with the NRA and he will continue to 100% stand behind his comments. Nugent however did not say what response he received from the National Rifle Association.
Democrats were quick to ask that Mitt Romney denounce Nugent’s comments but Romney has remained quite on the issue while his spokeswoman Andrea Saul simply responded:
“Divisive language is offensive no matter what side of the political aisle it comes from. Mitt Romney believes everyone needs to be civil.”
Here’s a video in which Ted Nugent at one time claimed Barack Obama was the best thing to ever happen to the Tea Party:
