Mitt Romney got some star power this week when he was at the National Rifle Association convention. Rock Star Ted Nugent appeared with te Republican hopeful saying that the Obama Administration is “wiping its ass with the Constitution”. Nugent demanded that the NRA crowd get geared up to elect Romney.
Right Wing Watch, a Democratic allied group that looks for extremist statements made by right leaning people found a video of Nugent, and he doesn’t mince words when describing the sitting president’s administration. In the video he calls the Obama Administration “vile,” “evil” and “America-hating.”
While he was campaigning with Romney this weekend he had given the former Massachusetts Governor his endorsement back in March. He also once threatened to kill Obama and Hilary Clinton and effusively praised Sarah Palin in the 2010 TIME 100 issue.
Romney has gotten more support over the last few weeks from the music world KISS frontman Gene Simmons was quoted as saying he supported Romney’s fiscal policy, outlets were quick to say the rocker endorsed Romney . Simmons quickly disputed the accounts, taking to Twitter to tell fans, “I HAVE NOT ENDORSED MITT ROMNEY FOR PRES.”
Ted Nugent was more direct in his appeal that the gun rights group turn out in force for Romney saying,
“If Barack Obama becomes the president in November, again, I will either be dead or in jail by this time next year. If you can’t galvanize and promote and recruit people to vote for Mitt Romney, we’re done. We need to ride into that battlefield and chop their heads off in November. Any questions?”
