Love Again is the second of three movies that will air in the month of June in celebration of June weddings. Inquisitr reported yesterday that Hallmark Channel kicked off its June Weddings Month with Perfect Match . Tonight’s movie stars Teri Polo as Chloe and Paul Johansson as David, according to the Internet Movie Database (IMDB).
Love Again focuses on the dying relationship between Chloe and David, a husband and wife who’ve been married for 25 years and are now feeling disconnected. A frank discussion between the married couple helps them to come to the terrible realization that even though they still have love for each other — they have grown apart and are no longer “in love.”
With that realization, they decide to divorce but decide to wait until after their daughter’s wedding. What starts out as drudgery as the loveless couple plans their daughter’s upcoming nuptials, ends up being a blessing as something magical happens, which leads to them to rediscover what love is all over again.
Hallmark movie lovers will be able to connect and identify with the characters in the movie as well as connect to the idea that sometimes relationships begin to wane, and that if the love is there, and if the love is true, then its possible to kick start the relationship in a new and positive direction.
Love Again teaches people that sometimes what seems like the end, is a blossoming of something tender and new. And that maintaining a relationship takes work, dedication, and investment. Viewers have been saying for the last few years that they love the Hallmark channel because of its romantic-feel good movies. Love Again is a wonderful example of the type of funny, traditionally romantic movies that Hallmark viewers have been longing for and have been missing in movies produced for other television channels.
Hallmark’s love and romance movies are similar to old Lifetime movies — before the channel’s obsession with crime took over, causing many former Lifetime movie lovers to turn to the Hallmark channel. Not everyone loves movies that feature kidnappings, true crime , and murders. One commenter made the following comment.
“I am speaking for myself and many others who used to watch Lifetime all the time but now you have gotten away from all those great stories that we loved and are doing all these violent stories. It is sad because now we all watch Hallmark and see the kind of things we used to see on Lifetime. I know you have lost a big part of your audience because I know how many of my friends have stopped watching as I have.”
If you love the idea of being in love, then be sure to switch the channel over to Love Again tonight at 9/8 central on the Hallmark Channel. The tease and trailer for Love Again is below.
“A couple on the brink of divorce decides to keep their marital woes a secret as they help their daughter plan her wedding. As the two work together on the happy occasion, they soon discover that their own marriage might just be worth saving.”
