Breaking Bad star Aaron Paul had some fun with his fans the other day. In fact, some might even say that he pulled a cruel joke on his fans. For months, there’s been speculation that Paul was going to reprise his role as Jesse Pinkman on the Breaking Bad spin-off show, Better Call Saul .
Although the actor has said he would love to reprise his role as Jesse, no official announcement has been made about Paul returning. So when he tweeted out on his social media account that he had some big news, fans ran with it.
Can’t wait to tell you what this is all about. It’s top secret for now but you all will know soon… https://t.co/4sLisSjXUV

His Twitter opened to an Instagram link of ice cream placed on a trey that said, “congratulations.” He captioned the photo with, “Can’t wait to tell you what this is all about. It’s top secret for now but you all will know soon enough. It’s a new gig that I am over the moon about. Thank you angel for sending this to me from across the country. Love you lots and lots.”
Then Aaron followed that up with another tweet telling everyone he was live on the Periscope app, which allows users to interact with people in real time.

After Paul got everyone riled up for a Breaking Bad announcement , he revealed that there was a new show coming that would document what happened to Jesse Pinkman after he drove off after the series finale. Awesome news, right? Well, Aaron was just joking about the news, and posted another tweet after all was said and done to apologize to the fans for messing with their heads.
Sorry for the joke everybody. I love you all so much. Hugs and kisses.

That said, he did make it up to the fans, or at least the ones that were located in the Boston area. Currently, the Breaking Bad star is filming a movie with Kevin Hart in the Boston area, and as a prize, he invited anyone near the Boston area to a showing of Mad Max with him and his friends. Seeing as how accessible Paul makes himself, we’re betting that he actually made good on his word and viewed the movie with whoever decided to show up.
Mad Max??? Come watch it with me and all of my Boston friends at Regal cinemas near Fenway. 10:40 showing!! Hope you can make it boston. — Aaron Paul (@aaronpaul_8) June 16, 2015
Still, he did leave some Breaking Bad fans heartbroken.

@aaronpaul_8 you made me think my life has meaning for a second only to make me cry. I love you, but don’t kick a girl while she’s down ? — a m a n d a (@beepbeepamanda) June 16, 2015
@aaronpaul_8 it was a mean joke. I’m gonna have to call Mr White to teach you about jokes, enough for the meth.
