While this year’s summer movie season has been kind of a downer, analysts are predicting that Jurassic World will be a big hit with moviegoers this weekend, and could give a boost to the box office.

According to CNNMoney , Jurassic World is predicted to bring in $120 million from the 4,200 theaters in which it’s being released, which would make it the biggest opening ever for the month of June. Ticket-selling site Fandango reports that Jurassic World is making up for 90 percent of the tickets being sold for this weekend.

Some analysts are predicting that Jurassic World could bring in $140 million in the U.S., according to Deadline . There’s also a good chance that the film could reach as high as $300 million overseas in its debut weekend.

Rentrak’s box office analyst Paul Dergarabedian told CNNMoney that one of the reasons why Jurassic World is predicted to score big in North America is because of its marketing campaign. The film is a direct sequel to Steven Spielberg’s iconic 1993 film, Jurassic Park , which started the whole franchise. That means fans who grew up with the original film will want to see it, and, if they have kids, they’ll bring them, too.

“People who were eight, nine, 10 years old when the first movie came out now have kids of their own who they’re going to want to take to see this movie.”

Jurassic World is looking to be another big hit for Universal Studios, which has already seen monster success this year with Fifty Shades of Grey , Furious 7 , and Pitch Perfect 2 . The film opened in China on Wednesday, and the moviegoers there are lining up in droves to see it. According to the Hollywood Reporter , Jurassic World brought in $16.38 million on its first day and $17.77 million in total, once the numbers for special screenings were thrown into the figure.

The fourth film in the franchise was directed by Safety Not Guaranteed’ s Colin Treverrow, with Frank Marshall serving as producer and Spielberg as executive producer. Chris Pratt, Bryce Dallas Howard, Vincent D’Onofrio, Ty Simpkins, Nick Robinson, and Irrfan Khan all star.

As previously reported by the Inquisitr , Jurassic World is being met with mixed reviews . Richard Roeper of the Chicago Sun-Times praised the film calling it “pure, dumb, wall-to-wall fun.”

“When they hand you your 3-D glasses, you can check your brain at the door and pick it up on your way out.”

But Jake Coyle of the Associated Press said the film lacks what made the first Jurassic Park so great.

“Director Colin Trevorrow, who ended his first and only other feature, Safety Not Guaranteed , with a Spielbergian magical twist, has instead made a more biting thriller hung up on the corporate mandates of post- Jurassic Park Hollywood.”

At the time of this publication, Jurassic World is at 72 percent approval on Rotten Tomatoes .
