’19 Kids And Counting’ Cancelled? TLC Rumor Says ‘Show’s Over’ Due To Josh Duggar’s Molestation Scandal

Will TLC have 19 Kids And Counting cancelled over Josh Duggar’s molestation scandal? The rumors claim it is only a matter of time, but the company has yet to make an official announcement. Some say the issue is all about money and whether the 19 Kids And Counting ratings will continue to be high, but others say the fight over the Duggar family is all about progressive versus conservative politics.

In a related report by the Inquisitr , residents of Washington County, Arkansas say they are “super embarrassed” by the Duggar scandal.

Much of the uproar in favor of having 19 Kids And Counting cancelled is due to the sticky issue of incest. Josh Duggar molested some of his sisters, and apparently, even Jim Bob Duggar once believed that incest should be punishable by death.

Defenders of the Duggar family point out that these events took place years ago when Josh was also a child. While not everyone agree with how the parents handled the situation, it is claimed the only reason this bit of old news became a scandal is because of politics and the Duggar’s Christian beliefs. Some popular Christian conservatives have called for forgiveness for these past actions, and the argument continues to wage all over the internet.

From the perspective of TLC, the issue is probably all about money. According to Perez Hilton, the money says they will have the show cancelled.

“If you’re betting, you’d be wise to put money on the show getting cancelled ,” claimed a source.

One unnamed source connected to the production of 19 Kids And Counting claims “the show’s over,” but officially TLC executives have not made a decision. As of Thursday, two sources with knowledge of TLC’s plans says no announcement is imminent.

There is also a good reason why TLC won’t have cancelled 19 Kids And Counting immediately. While the show was yanked from Hulu, technically the show is not currently in production, which means camera crews are not following family members around to record their reaction to Josh Duggar’s molestation scandal. This fact gives TLC executives breathing room since cancelling 19 Kids And Counting really means cancelling plans to resume production.

Based upon the current controversy, TLC may also choose to have 19 Kids And Counting cancelled, but then resume production of a 19 Kids And Counting spin-off that focuses on younger members of the family who are not embroiled in the scandal.

“A source close to the Duggars says a new plan may shift focus away from the large brood headed up by Jim Bob and Michelle Duggar, and instead focus on newlyweds Jill and Derick Dillard, and Jessa and Ben Seewald,” People reported.
