Donald Trump and his opinions. They don’t seem to stop flowing freely from his head, exiting his mouth. Recently, he stated that he’s going to build a wall to stop illegal immigrants from crossing into the U.S. The catch: He said he’s not paying for it.
For the most part, that sounds like a great idea, right? Along with Trump’s opinionated quotes, the majority’s consensus is that immigrants are responsible for taking many Americans’ jobs — potential jobs, anyway.
While it’s true that some jobs are taken or over-consumed by those who would do the tasks at a much cheaper rate, one might need to ask if people would’ve humbled their egos to do whatever job.
Though no one can say that’s the absolute truth because it’s strictly hypothetical, it is something you can wonder.
In a Donald Trump interview with CBN’s David Brody, he states his position thoroughly and as follows.
“With the southern border, everybody comes in. You just walk by. So we’re taking hundreds of thousands of people.
“Some good people. And some rapists. And killers. And drug lords. And everyone else. And they’re flowing through the southern border. I would build a fence like nobody builds a wall.
“And nobody comes in illegally anymore. Nobody can build a fence like me, David. You know that. I’ve built great buildings all over the world.
“I would have Mexico pay for it. And believe me, they’ll pay for it. Because they’ve really ripped this country off. They have really taken advantage of us — both economically and at the border. They will pay for that fence.”
In the interview, Trump sounds emotional about it all. There have been organizations in the past who spoke about blocking the southern border as well.
What makes his proposal any different? Do you think he’ll do it? Or is it just talk?
