It’s official — Bob Saget is joining Fuller House . John Stamos, his co-star and producer of the Netflix spin-off series, confirmed the exciting news. Stamos shared the news with his followers on Twitter and seemed just as excited as Full House fans.

It’s not surprising to hear that Bob Saget is back in the saddle for the Full House reunion series. After all, he’s embraced his Full House past and has even made it a huge part of his stand-up act. In fact, he’s written a song called “Danny Tanner Was Not Gay” to the tune of the Backstreet Boys “I Want It That Way.” In the song, he goes on to sing about how Danny Tanner was gay and points to the fact that he was living with two other men in San Francisco as proof. Saget has had fun with his alter ego, so we wonder what he’ll come up with to rag on his squeaky clean Tanner image this time around.
As for Bob Saget joining the cast, fans seemed very excited about the news.
@JohnStamos @bobsaget @netfilx it wouldn’t be full house without him!!! — Angie M (@missugleeklaine) May 29, 2015

@JohnStamos @bobsaget @netfilx that’s right there’s no “I” in reunion! Or team. — IBBB (@ibbb) May 29, 2015
As the Inquisitr reported, Saget joins John Stamos, Lori Loughlin (Aunt Becky), and his two daughters Stephanie Tanner (Jodie Sweetin) and DJ Tanner-Fuller (Cameron Candace-Bure). His only daughter that will not be appearing is Michelle Tanner, who was played by Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen. So far, it’s not yet known whether or not Dave Coulier will join the cast as Joey Gladstone.
Back in 2014, Bob Saget spoke about his Full House past.
He discussed filming the opening credits , having said, “They had me actually driving the convertible across the Golden Gate Bridge with the entire real Full House family in it, and they had a helicopter flying overhead to film it.”
The Full House spin-off series will come to Netflix in 2016.
